My eyes searched for Mr. Rodriguez everywhere in the opera house. But her was nowhere to be found since the morning sun had risen that day. He had left me sleeping in the bed. After that night he seldom left me alone. So, it was highly unlikely for him to leave me like this and not come to check on me once if I had stayed with him or if I had left the country.

Then I saw why he was so relaxed. His loyal servant with a saber in his possession was following me everywhere I go. And as I looked at Ibrahim, he hid. As if he did so, I wouldn't see him. He is very wrong. I know when I have been followed because I always do get followed. My life had been spent half the time trying to avoid my stepmother's men and women.

I looked down from the box and Ibrahim came running as I suspected he will. "My lady you will fall down and break your neck and Saheb will..." I pulled myself up. "How do you know I was here?" I asked him. He looked everywhere but at me. "I...I was passing by and..." "You are a terrible liar you know Abe?" He sat on his knee and bowed. "Forgive me my lady Saheb told me to follow you to keep you safe."

"Stand up Abe, and tell me have you seen your Saheb anywhere?" I asked. "He left My lady and I do not think I have authority to question his decision as I am indebted to him for saving my life from the slave traders." I do not know this story. Every time, he says this, he stops after this sentence. Another of their personal secret I was not allowed into. Now I am getting very much curious about all this. His secrets make me wish I was the one to share all that he does not wish to tell me.

"Fine then, I order you not to follow me around from now on." I looked down and saw his office door open and close and then he came out holding the hand of a woman. I shouldn't feel this wish like throwing that woman into a boiling lava pit. But sadly, I do. I walked down the flight of stairs. More like ran down holing my dress. I wish I was wearing a pair of trousers now. These contraptions designed to keep our activity to minimal is actually beginning to annoy me.

"My Lady, My Lady wait, you must not interfere in Saheb's work." No? then he shouldn't have told me that he would shoot anyone who dare come close to me. Because I am about to put an arrow through her head. "My Lady please listen to me." You are going to die from my hands, Christin Ace Rodriguez. "Until next time Lady Thatcher." Christin bowed. The woman he called Lady Thatcher smiled and kissed his cheek.

How dare he let anyone else touch him? I composed myself and walked towards them. "Mr. Rodriguez, I was looking for you all over the place. Where you had been gone?" I asked. His eyes narrowed at me. His green eyes showed anger. Clearly, he doesn't wish me to be present here. But I am not letting this go. He cannot play with my heart. "I didn't know someone else too is here with us. I thought this place was empty Christin" She called him Christin. No one calls her Christin except for James and me.

Not only that, he is letting her touch him. He didn't let me get close to him like this most of the time. "She is someone I had hired. A little bit of delusional, thinking she can win my affections. Imagine that, winning someone like me. Mind her presence, let me escort you to the carriage Lady Thatcher." What? I am the one who is trying to get his affections? I have let him go. He was the one who is delusional. "Not anymore Sir, I am sorry that I had bothered you too much. If you accept my resignation, then I will be on my way to find someone who actually cares for my affections. I don't think I want to use by someone as cold as you are." I turned around and walked towards the exit of the opera house.

Just when I decide to believe him. Believe in his words. He goes and does this. He is just playing with me like always. I am nothing more than a plaything to him. An asset, a weapon, a possession that he can use whenever he likes to. He told me he cannot love me. Because he wanted to use me. I am a weapon that he can manipulate. I am just that to him. "Well, aren't you a fool Katherine Davis for trusting him again and again? I should contact my father at once. I need to tell him what kind of man his dear Christin Ace Rodriguez is"
