The third part

The new recruit

Steve's P.O.V

My eyes shot open as the booming sound of my alarm tore me from my slumber. I groan not really wanting to get up. My arm stretch out to the side and hits the off button. I look the other way from where my out stretched arm laid and see Bucky still sleeping. I roll over and drape my arm over his chest.

-hey BuckBuck. you have to wake up, I whisper softly while planting a kiss on his chest. He only groans in response. He wraps his arm around me, pulling me closer, giving no sign of opening his eyes or moving.

-as much as I would love to just stay here with you all day and do nothing but cuddle, we have to get up love, I push myself up with my elbow and smile at him. He finally opens his sleep covered eyes.

-why? he pouts. God he is so adorable when he is tired.

-Because the new recruit is coming today and we all have to be there when they come, I place a soft kiss on his lips before making my way to the edge of the bed to get up and get dressed. Suddenly I'm reminded of last nights events when a shooting pain makes its presents in my rare end. A hiss leaves my lips and I hear a chuckle come from behind me.

-sorry, I might have been a little rough last night, I can hear the smirk playing on my boyfriends lips. I just role my eyes before smiling a bit and stand up. while I grab my shirt I say

-you don't say. I think my ass can answer that, I role my eyes again trying to act annoyed. Bucky then jumps up out of bed, making his way to me fast, wrapping his arms around me before grabbing my ass roughly. I let out a little whimper

-Don't act like you didn't like it, he smirks before slapping my ass hard. He walks over to his clothes on the floor and start to get dressed. I slowly drag my pants on while watching him. There was a comfortable silence in the room.

He comes up to me and gives me a soft kiss before turning to leave the room to grab some new clothes. No one in the compound knows that we are together. We have kept it a secret as when we first got together in 1932 it wasn't exactly excepted to be be with someone of the same sex. Though I know its not like that anymore, its hard to let go of those old habits that we worked up all those years ago. Everything was so different now. So much has changed. We have changed. But the love for etch other had remained the same over all these years. He really does light up my world. I remember the day I asked Peggy to be my beard to cover for our relationship after she had walked in on us kissing. That's where it started but then the three of us ended up in one relationship. I don't know if that was actually something we both wanted, I honestly think that Buck kind of went along with it because I wanted to try. Which in it self is very sweet and she wasn't a part of it for long anyway, but being three was something we did enjoy.  I smile at the thought of the old times. Even with the war around us mine and Buckys love had remand the same.

I mean me and Bucky had talked about letting the others know about our relationship, but there was something holding us back, we don't know what it is, but it's something. The thought of the old times made me think that maybe that there was something we were missing. I should probably talk to Bucky about that.

I make my way down the stairs towards the kitchen. Tony looks up from his coffee and give me a little smirk.

-morning old man. Sleep well?

-are you implying something? I look at him a bit confused. He never asked me how I slept. oh god had he heard us? The panic slowly start to take over my body while I try to remind clam on the outside.

-no, I just saw Barnes leave your room this morning. I'm not judging, I mean I-

-he had a nightmare. I thought it would help to bring him out from the room as a change of sensory, I cut him off.  His smirk disappears and he just nod.

-sorry I didn't mean to be rude. I just don't need you starting rumors there is no hold to, my eyes meet my feet in shame for snapping at Tony like that.

-no no, its fine capsical, I get it. I wouldn't have enjoyed that either, it just seems like you and Barnes sometimes are a bit closer then just friends, Tony takes a sip of his coffee

-I mean there is no one else who knows me as well has he does. I guess just growing up together might have made us have a bit of a weird looking friendship now a days. I mean there were people thinking the same in the 30's so, I laugh a bit. Tony lets out a little laugh

-I guess its just a very intense bromance then, he laugh as he grab his coffee cup and start walking towards the door.

-whatever you say Tony, I laugh.

-anyway the new recruit will be here around 12 so if you're gonna work out with Sam I suggest you get going before its to late, and with that he leaves the room. I walk over to the fridge and take out some eggs. I throw together some scrabbled eggs and put some bread in the toaster. While making breakfast Bucky walks in, wrapping his arms around my waist.

-watch out someone might see, I whisper without moving my eyes from the pan.

-chill I made sure we were alone, he plants a soft kiss on my neck before letting go of me and jumping up on the kitchen counter beside me.

-so what's the plan for today?

-well, the new one is gonna be here round 12 so I thought we could eat and then I'll see if Sam wanna join me for a run, I hear him chuckle a bit.

-do you mean you are gonna out run him like a thousand times? he laugh a bit louder and I just join him. As we are laughing Sam walks in

-what's got you guys laughing so much?

-oh nothing man, but do you wanna work out before the new one comes? I turn to look at him as I pour the scrabbled eggs onto two different plates and grab the toasts. I watch as his face scrunch up a bit before he sighs

-yeah.. I guess I can,

-you know Sam, you don't have to, your allowed to make your own choices I don't control your life, I grab one of the plates while talking before making my way to the table. I see out of the corner of my eye that Bucky follow me.

-I know Steve, but even though I know what is gonna happened I'm still gonna try and see if I can keep up with you, he walks over to to the copboard and grab out a cup before filling it with the roasted beans that are pulverized and watered down.

After we all finish our breakfast Sam and I go to change before walking out to start.
