Chapter 17

Seungmin pushed himself up and walked back home as if nothing happened. "I don't know how long I'm going to keep up this act Lee Know..." He said to himself, then thinking about the consequences. "I'd really hate to be killed by him though." he said, scratching his head. "Aw whatever, I'm gonna think about it when it happens." He said.

"Thanks for clearing that up for me." Minho leaned against a wall. "I came here because I realized something earlier, would you like to know what that is? I'm not taking no for an answer." He sat Seungmin down.

Seungmin gulped. "Yes...?" He shakily said.

"When I was talking to you as you were unconscious, well almost because you still had the energy to care for your wound with your shirt, i'm well aware that I had compelled you to be afraid of vampires, but you didn't even flinch, nor did you screech or try to run away. I don't like being lied to Seungmin." Minho closed the door, not budging from his spot or leaving eye contact with the younger.

"I-i'm sorry, I didn't want to forget you." Seungmin said.

"So you broke our deal? Which clearly stated that if you lied to me about anything that had to do with it, I could kill you. To be honest I could kill you either way, I was just being lenient with you." Minho scoffed. "Now I know not to do that anymore." He bent down beside Seungmin. "I would have killed you by now but that would be too kind of me, I have a better solution." Minho grinned, getting back up again.

Seungmin gulped and looked up at the older. "W-what is that?" He asked.

"You are going to work for me from now on, your payment is getting to keep your life. My payment is getting to torture you until you're a weak old man. The thing is Seungmin, while you grow older each day, not to mention weaker. I will still look the same, and have the same amount of strength, scratch that, I will be stronger because the older a vampire is, the stronger they are. Does that sound compromisable?" Minho asked.

"I-I mean, it's not like I have a choice do I?" Seungmin said nervously.

"You're a quick learner. Just know that this time I am not joking when I say I will kill you at any moment, watch your words and actions when you're around me." Minho warned. "I give one human a bit of kindness and they take advantage of it, thank you for teaching me not to trust any of you." He slammed his fist onto the wall behind Seungmin.

Seungmin trembled a bit in fear and nodded, not wanting to say anything to upset the older.

"Stay seated, i'm going to plan what I should do with you. If you run I will go after you so don't try anything." Minho sat down.

Seungmin stayed seated looking around his room, for something to look at since he didn't want to make any eye contact with Lee Know.

"I have the perfect idea, I get blood from you anytime I want, you do anything for me anytime I want and I get to do anything to you anytime I want. Sound good?" Lee Know asked. "Great!" He said before Seungmin could do anything.

"O-oh alright." Seungmin said.

"I helped you get out of that relationship you had before, now i'm going to do the same things he did, but worse of course since now there's literally nothing you can do to help yourself. I gave you my trust for the first time in over a century that I've done and I told you that I was betrayed before too. Still you chose to go and do what I warned you not to. Remember who else did the same thing?" Minho leaned forward.

"Y-yes..." Seungmin whispered.

"That's right, Hyunjin. Look where he is now, I suggest you start watching yourself, we could have had a good friendship, thank yourself for ruining it." Minho said. "See you later." He smiled, disappearing and leaving the household empty.

Seungmin started crying uncontrollably. "Why did I do this, why didn't I just follow his orders the first time. Now I'm probably going to die being tortured or something like that." He rambled and cried himself to sleep.

Lee Know was sitting on a chair in his living room churning a glass of whisky in his hand as he halfheartedly watched two people he had compelled fight to the death in front of him. "You could hit him harder though? You're not even trying at this point." He grabbed a glass beside him and threw it at one of them, watching it break as it hit the woman's arm, causing it to bleed.

The woman collapsed and started crying and Lee Know knelt beside her, leaving his glass of whisky on a table nearby. "I'm sorry...did I hurt you?" He patted her head softly and she nodded, sniffling. "I have just the right thing to help, I'll make all the pain go away, don't worry." He said and she nodded. He smiled at her for a second before holding either side of her neck and twisting it around, then standing back up. "See, you guys should have given me a better performance, that's what I do when i'm bored."

He walked towards the man now with a kitchen knife in his hand. "I'm going to compel you." Lee Know said, the man shook his head, crying in disagreement and fear. "You will take this knife and slowly push it through your heart." Lee Know handed the man the knife and watched as he did so. Once that was done he left the room unamused with the performance and grabbed the television remote to watch whatever he found interesting.

Seungmin woke up eventually, with tear stains on his pillow. "Ugh, my head hurts, what time is it?" He says before sitting up to check the alarm clock beside him. "It's 9 a.m. already?" He stood up to brush his teeth. Then heading out somewhere, passing the kitchen he didn't want to eat anything at the moment so he went to the restaurant seeing as it was Wednesday. He arrived there, and put his uniform and apron on. He walked over to the first group of customers that walked in and served them. Then, returning back to his counter.

"Seungmin, boss wanted me to bring you this." A girl came from the kitchen holding a document labeled Job Resignation Form . "You should take your leave now so you don't make the customers uncomfortable."
