Lily fussed around in the kitchen making dinner leaving Harry with James. She felt like she only had him yesterday but it was his first birthday and the Longbottoms son Neville was coming over for dinner along with the marauders.
Alice suddenly came into the kitchen and gave Lily a big hug. 'Hello Lil' she smiled. They had met through the order and had become close friends. 'Franks in the sitting room with Remus and Sirius' Alice explained.
Lily laughed 'I bet Harry and Nev have them wrapped around there little fingers'. Alice giggled and agreed helping to mash the potatoes.
'How is Nev Alice?' Lily asked. Alice beamed she was clearly hoping Lily would I ask this question. 'He showed his first sign of magic!' She gushed and told Lily all about it proudly.
Lily grinned 'that's lovely Al I'm so happy for you! I do hope Harry shows his signs soon, not that I mind if he's a squib Alice it's just that he shows such interest in magic, when James does magic sparks to entertain him that is, I'd never let him have his own wand' Lily rambled.
Alice gave her a big smile. 'I hope the boys become close friends'. Lily agreed and set the table. 'Boys dinner!' Lily called.
All four men came in accompanied by baby Harry and Neville. 'We're men, arnt we Harry' James cooed and lifted up Harry and spun him around. Harry squealed with laughter.
Sirius laughed and grabbed his godson. 'Where's my little man, say Paddy' he smiled. And blew his cheek. Harry laughed 'Paddy!' He said delightedly.
James stopped in his tracks. 'Did you say Daddy my prongette' James asked excitedly. 'Paddy!' Harry laughed and reached out for Sirius's face.
James was visibly upset but clapped for Harry. 'Good boy Harry, say Daddy now' he asked. Harry looked at the tall blonde man smiling infront of him and smiled 'Moomy'. 'He's definitely saying Mommy' Lily declared but Remus laughed 'he's saying Mooney Lil'.
'Guys don't start this again! When he said it first you didn't talk for a week!' James laughed and gave Lily a tight hug. And ruffled Harry's hair.
'Wormy couldn't make it, something to do with work apparently' James said. Lily frowned 'oh I do worry about him he's working way to hard lately'. Frank smiled as Alice strapped Neville in giving him a little kiss. 'Happy birthday Nev' Lily smiled at the little boy.
Neville stuck out his chubby arms at Lily and she laughed. 'Say thank you Nev' Frank smiled poking his nose affectionately. Alice grinned and kissed one of Nevilles chubby feet. 'Fank you' Neville laughed and they all laughed proudly.
'Happy birthday Pronglette' Sirius smiled. Harry sat in his high chair with his four teddy bears: a deer, a rat, a wolf and a dog. Remus smiled and took the wolf making it growl at him and eat Harry's tummy making him squeal.
Lily smile delightedly she never thought in a million years that one day she'd be smiling sitting beside an ignorant toerag with a beautiful baby boy smiling at them.
Lily kissed her sons hand and tickled under his chin leaning on her husband. 'James?' Lily asked. 'Yes Lily?' He answered, 'your an ignorant toerag you know that right?' She asked.
James smiled 'but your my ignorant toerag' Lily continued before smirking and kissing him. Everyone laughed before tucking in.
