Chapter 6: Wormy?

Lily stood there frozen in fear what had just happened. She settled Harry in his bed giving him a kiss. She walked downstairs carefully dreading what she knew she was going to see.

Suddenly she saw a dead body with glasses askew and beautiful hazel eyes. She let out such a scream that it even scared herself.

'NO! NO! NO! NO!' she sobbed holding his body. She couldn't bare to let go. Memories flashed before her very eyes.

'How could you hex that poor third year! How irresponsible, your head boy for Merlins sake' Lily ranted. 'He-he insulted Remus' James admitted.

Lily's heart melted as she stared into his eyes she snapped out of it 'still James you shouldn't have-' suddenly she was cut off by James kiss. She kissed him back with all she had running her hands through his handsome messy hair.

Sure it was in a broom cupboard but it was with James and that was all that mattered.

Lily fussed around getting ready for dinner with Petunia. James sat ready beside her 'I don't see why we must go this Petunia seems a right old bitch to me' James moaned. Lily laughed. 'Because she's my sister Jamesie now stop being such a baby'

They set off and Lily greeted her sister. 'Petunia!' She said and hugged her. Petunia smiled 'we've got big news!' She said 'Vernon proposed' she said excitedly.

Lily grinned 'really! When?' She asked beaming  '6 months ago! I can't believe it the weddings in a week if you'd like to come' Petunia asked. Lily felt her heart break.

The girl who she had shared everything with hadn't told her she's engaged. Lily smiled James sensed she was upset and kissed her head glaring at Vernon.

'Fuck them Lily' he said rocking her slowly. 'I-I can't believe Tuney wouldn't tell me!' She sobbed. 'It's alright you have me right? I'm much more handsome than her' James joked.

He could make anything funny no matter what and his grin was very visible. That grin. The grin that made Lily's knees weak and made her want to dance at the same time.

'How do you do it?' She asked. James peered at her curiously 'do what?' He asked 'make every problem into a mini one' she smiled and kissed her boyfriend.

'I love you James Potter!' She said and James beamed 'I knew you'd come around eventually it only took how long 8 years' he laughed and Lily giggled.

He had made all her problems disappear no here he was dead on the floor with his famous grin long gone. Lily felt strong arms pulling her away from his body. 'NO NO!' She yelled sobbing.

'Lily stop it's me Remus' he said wrapping her in a hug. Lily sobbed into his shoulder 'he's gone, he's really gone' Lily sobbed. 'Where's Harry?' Sirius asked anxiously. 'He's upstairs' Lily cried and clung to Remus tighter.

Sirius ran up to the room. It was in near ruins but he didn't hear crying. He walked over to Harry's crib and saw a perfectly healthy baby boy except from a scar on his head. 'How on earth did you survive prongsle-' the word prongs hurt him and he stopped talking.

'Daddy?' Harry asked. 'No Harry Daddys gone' Sirius cried but stayed strong in fear of dropping the small baby in his arms. He walked downstairs hiding the body from Harry.

'Come on Lily let's go to our cottage' Remus said helping Lily out of the house. The aurours followed them to the cottage with Sirius and Harry.

They apperated to the house and Lily sat down on the couch. Sirius sat down beside her holding her close with Harry on the floor playing. 'Out!' Said Remus to the aurours 'we need to talk to her' he said.
