You never said I couldn't be the next Dream

Chapter 5: New trainer

~~~~~Tommy P.O.V~~~~~~~~~

Three weeks have passed when I first opened up to Punz, since then he have been more patient with me. Even when I went on missions with him, most of them were just checking on what Techno and Philza were doing, and I got mad or frustrated with something or him. He checked up on me more often, it made me feel.....cared for, but I didn't let myself get use to it. I will never relay on someone again, except, maybe Dream. He was always there for me, no matter what. Then though I tried not to get attached to Punz, I grew somewhat fond of him. 

So, the day when I came back from collecting iron and found Dream there with Punz talking and a bag all packed up, something in me drop, I wasn't ready to leave yet, Punz still has so much more to teach me! "W-what's going on?" I knew what was happening, I just didn't want to believe it. Dream looked towards me, I could hear the smile in his voice as he spoke. 

"Tommy! Just the kid I needed to see, Punz here have been saying how well you been doing, and I was thinking maybe it is time for you to move up." I looked over to Punz, he smiled to me, and he looked. . . .proud of me. 

"Heh, told ya you would be moving up. It was nice, hope to see you at a mission." Punz held out his hand for me to shake, I took with pride. I let out a small smile, and looked over to Dream. 

"So, I am guessing you will not be my trainer yet?" I asked, I felt some pride in me. I looked at Dream in his eyes, well his mask eyes, I held my head up high. I was happy to make Punz proud of me, but I will never tell or show him that. Attachment is the problem, it always been. 

"Nope, not me." He looked down on me, since he was taller but only by  little bit. 

"So, who is it?"

Dream told me to meet him above the Nether and wait by the entrance, so I did. When I asked him why, all he said, you'll see. So, here I am, standing on bedrock waiting for Dream. I  sat down, half debating if I could take a nap, finally I decided that there would no harm in taking a short nap. Right when I closed my eyes, the trap door opened. I sprang up and looked to see who it was. I see a little bit of green, then a smiley face. "Hey sappy nappy." 

I groan at the stupid nickname, Dream came out of the hole, but he wasn't alone. It was the kid. When he laid his eyes on me, he growled a bit and his lips made a thin line across his face. 

"Why the fuck is he here!?" He yelled out, he looked over to Dream pointing at me. I made a tsk sound with my mouth and crossed my arms. 

"Yea Dream, why the fuck is he here, shouldn't he be with Punz?" I spat, glaring at him. He stuck out his tongue at him, "Why you little-" I walked over to him, ready to beat his ass. To my surprise he put his fists to fight me, I thought he would run behind Dream and hide. Before we could even close enough, Dream stepped in front if me. 

"Both of you stop it. Now." I glare at him one more time before backing up. I waited for Dream to explain what is happening. He looked at me then at Tommy before talking. 

"Tommy, meet your new trainer, Sapnap, meet your new trainee." I did a face palm, of course, of course! Why else would he bring the blond ratcoon!?  Tommy on the other hand was freaking out, saying that he refuses to work with me, that forget it and he will just go off on his own, blah blah blah. 

What I didn't expect was Dream to grabbed the kid by the writs and to twist it. It kinda scared me, Tommy shut up quickly, I can see the pain on his face. He then threw Tommy on me, I caught him. Something in me switched, it was like a lever was flicked within me. I looked up to Dream, ready to yell at him, but he spoke first. 

"Do not rise you voice at me! You were nothing before I saved you, remember your place boy." Dream growled out, with that he left. I looked down at Tommy, he was shaking and he had his eyes closed. I didn't anything, I only took him to my based and let him sleep. The only I could think of was,
