"So..." Mina's voice trailed off as she walked into your room. She, nor anyone else, expected your room to be an abandoned part of the U.A. dorm buildings.

Specifically a dark, metal and closed-off part of the basement. They didn't even know they had a basement.

"Are you going to continue?" Y/n asked without turning her head. She sat cross-legged on a wooden chair, typing away on the computer. The girls' eyes widened at the thought of the detained villain having a computer with them.

"We thought you might be lonely." Yaoyorozu smiled warmly but, as her back was facing them, she couldn't see it. Nor did she care.

"Not really."

An awkward and heavy silence filled the air once more. They knew they had to be cautious but she was a girl, the same age as them. It was hard watching someone throw their life away.

"Sato baked some cookies, would you like some?" Hagakure offered and a slight skid of the chair alerted them of her movements. She silently closed her laptop (that Jiro caught a glimpse of and furrowed her brows at) and walked over to the gate separating the girls and y/n.

"...What kind?"

"Chocolate chip cookie." Hagekure smiled, though no one could see it, they could see the box of fresh cookies being extended past the barrier. Y/n gratefully took one of the cookies and the gooey treat instantly melted in her mouth.

"Tell him I say thanks." She hummed and went back to her spot on the chair. But to their surprise, she didn't open the computer screen again. Her eyes remained shut tightly and her legs went back to their criss-cross form. "Oh, and tell Hobo that I'll be at his office at 5."

"And hobo is...?" Mina's voice trailed off as she repeated the odd name. A small chuckle was heard from the girl.

"Your teacher."

"Ah..."

Once again, silence took over the room and now the girls took it as their chance to slip away. They had done as much as they could to make her feel welcome but it wasn't exactly reciprocated.

Lastly, Jiro headed on her way before a thought crossed her mind. "What was on your laptop?" Y/n let out a small hum before opening the device in question and motioning for the purple-haired girl to come closer. She was skeptical, as any hero should be with a villain, but complied nonetheless.

What surprised the student was that there was only one line written despite her seeming absolute concentration earlier in the hour.

July 15, 20xx

It was exactly two weeks from now. She thought back to what that date could mean. It wasn't a holiday. No one in her family had an important event so that was a relief.

Birthdays... she thought to herself, her eyes shifting to the left as she thought of all the birthdays she knew of in July. Sero's was July 28th. Mina's was July 30th.

Midoriya's was July 15th.

"What..." Jiro faltered while the other female stayed completely still with the laptop pressed against her forearms. "What do you want with Midoriya?"

Despite being the one to write down the date, y/n was taken aback by the girl's comment. "July 15th is Broccoli's birthday?"

Jiro mentally cringed at the nickname but decided to put it aside and focus on the task at hand. But, before she could utter a word a small laugh cut her off.

"I pity him. That will be one horrific birthday..."

i fucking wrote this in july, I'm scared that my writing hasn't changed much
