Chapter 20.5: Blood relation 1: recap

Earth (normal world)
Some time passed In Nigeria, The Oyo family started to get used to the fact their only son Remi had passed, Mr Ade Oyo (Remi's father) was a powerful businessman, he had the Keke driver who killed his son and was sentenced to life imprisonment by his 9 lawyers, currently, he was out of the country on vacation in Dubai, while the rest of his family remained in Nigeria

The white-story building stood amongst the Jala estate of green and blue houses.
Here, we see a fairly young woman wearing a traditional brown dress; her graying dark hair was covered with a white gele, and her chocolate skin fit her deep brown eyes.
Only a few wrinkles stayed on her face.
This was Mrs Ayoola Oyo (Remi's mother); she owned a very large and popular poultry farm, which earned her the name “Mama Drumsticks.” She was a very caring woman, but when it came to her children, she was a little strict.

She walked down the wooden stairs in the warm and large living room packed with flat-screen TVs and green cotton chairs; she looked at the 5 family portraits on their brick wall, seeing an image of a young boy smiling widely and wearing a brown uniform.

"Oh my Ọmọkùnrin(my dear son), if only you were still with me, I wouldn't have pressured you so much" she laminated on the past.
She was the main reason Remi was so indecisive about his future career; she pressured him into picking some white-collar careers but never tried to understand what he was interested in.

Despite this, her son didn't hate her like she believed he did.

"Iya! (Mother!) I'll be going out with my friends now!" A young feminine voice spoke from upstairs.
The girl rushed down wearing a long skirt that covered up to her shins and a black jacket. Her black hair was braided beautifully, and her fair brown skin complicated her eyes as well.
The girl is Remi's younger sister, Folake Oyo. She's a senior secondary school student, unlike her brother. She had decided her career would be in design, and she got support from her parents.
It seemed Folake was going out, and passed by her mother and Remi's picture

"I'll be going now arakunrin nla(big brother)" She smiled and walked out through the brown door.

"She's growing every day; at this point, I think she would have been as tall as you now," Mrs Oyo joked, still holding his picture.

She sat down on their sofa, still reminiscing about the time Remi was in primary school bringing home average grades; she really let him have it back then with a 5-hour lecture.

'knock knock' their door made a noise, showing a visitor had arrived.

Mrs Oyo went to open the day seeing two individuals smiling.
One was a buff-looking, dark-skinned boy wearing a yellow t-shirt with spiky brown hair and blue jeans, and the other was a dark-skinned, tall guy wearing a red sleeve and black trousers with wavy black hair.
Remi's old school friends, Bolus(buff one) and Ahmed(tall) did everything together, and if one got into trouble, the others would soon follow after to help.

"Oh, what a pleasant surprise, Ahmed and Bolus!" Mrs Oyo said letting the two boys into the house.

"E Kaasan (Good afternoon.) ma'am, I hope all is well," Ahmed said, bowing his head.

"We were just passing by and decided to visit," Bolus added, rubbing his spiky hair.

The 3 took a seat on the sofa and talked; it turns out both of the guys were in University now and are doing well.

"I still wonder what course Remi would have liked to study," Bolus said, putting his finger on his chin.

"He did like to cook, so maybe culinary arts" Ahmed noted.

"Even so, would I have allowed him? I also wonder how he thought of me," Mrs Oyo said sadly.

"This reminds me of something that happened when we were in ss2 (senior secondary 2)" Ahmed says again and begins his story.

Flashback ss1 days

Remi, Ahmed, and Bolus are running around after classes and jump the fence of their school into the compound supermarket, their brown uniforms wrinkled and neckties flying.
The boys went to buy fried yam and eggs since the didn't sell them in school.

They them climbed a huge mango tree and ate the delicacy.

"Hey Remski wouldn't your Mom complain about us going out of school like this" Ahmed referred Remi who was shoving his face with yam.

'gulp' he swallowed. "See Ahmedo, my Mom might seem strict but she's only putting on the facade so I won't stray from the right path, I admire her for that and always try my best not to disappoint her" Remi revealed

"But sometimes your stomach leads you astray hehehehe" Bolus laughed as he outs 3 yams pieces into his mouth

"Shut up Bolusu! I don't want to hear that from you of all people!"Remi yells comically at his friend until.

"Hey you 3 aren't you supposed to be In your school compound!" An angry looking man wearing torn clothes yelled at them.

"Damn make we tear race!" Remi panicked and all 3 of them ran for it back to the school.

End of flashback

'sob' Mrs Oyo couldn't hold her tears back, her son didn't hate her like she thought and it filled her with joy.

"Ma'am Remi was a great guy and he loved you for raising him the way you did" Ahmed comforted the woman.

"Yah he would have turned out great" Bolus adds.

"Wherever he is now, I hope his happy that's my only prayer" she wipes her tears away believing whether heaven or wherever her son is his happy however.....

Minus(world of monsters)
A completely different world than the one we know exists, with creatures beyond imagination call their home.
Demons reign supreme as an evil sovereign and the four human kingdoms combat them and their forces on a daily basis.

A forest within the Diora kingdom
"Gyahhhhhh!" A scream that can't be heard yells out for help.
This scream is from no other than our protagonist Remi who's current form was that of a scared black skinned teenage boy who was invisible to the human eye and lacked legs.
His upper body was connected to an individual that looked exactly like him but didn't wear a shirt showing off battle wounds, and torn trousers this body was currently controlled by
Wruk The demon of Wrath.

Recap
After Remi had died from an accident in the real world,an angel offered him the chance to be reborn if he can help the humans of this new world defeat the demon lords.
However Remi is betrayed by evil cultists who nearly killed him, but the demon wrath spirit saw his anger and decided to possess his body turning him into a "Demon knight" a being with the powers of a demon but the heart of human.

With this he had many adventures with new friends however things became difficult causing Remi to make a deal with Wruk
"Give me full control of your body for one month and I'll help you" Wruk said.
Remi agreed and he is currently paying the Piper.

"Wrahahahhahahahaaha" the demon chuckles of Wruk came out of Remi's mouth like mixed audio.
"my wrath shall seek out the bastard who stole my powers!" Wruk continued to run on all fours like an animal hunting.

Wruk had been defeated 10 years prior to Remi's arrival, during this fight he noticed a great amount of energy had been taken from him, now with one month to seek out who did it, Wruk is on full alert.
