Depth Of Despair

We all hide some feelings that we dare not share,
this is the place we call the depth of despair.
These hidden feelings can make us feel weakened,
but in the end our minds are all beaten.

They're beaten by the doctors who tells us we're depressed,
when actually it's all our feelings forced to be suppressed.
My depression builds to a humiliating blade,
forcing myself to cut day after day.

Pouring out the pain that'll soon all go away,
but even when they're out they'll leave behind a stain.
The stain from the pain will allow death to laugh in my face,
forcing myself to ponder and cry as to why my life is such a disgrace.

My legs are weary from the journey I have travelled,
all because I seek a better life waiting to be unravelled.
To not feel alone or the pain of broken bones,
Instead I want to prove that my heart's as strong as stone.
