We live in a generation who pay for attention and likes,
Even when we know that there are people suffering with no food or light.
Aren't we in a world which speaks of human rights?
How about the right for us all to look up towards the sunlight.
Looking away from our metal or plastic phones,
To live like children again eating our ice cream cones.
We need to reconnect in the world that has suddenly disconnect,
Telling the ones we love to join us and actually learning to protect.
Sure there will be people with the newest and latest things,
But why don't we all actually live to see what the future brings.
Living in a world where everyone dances and sings,
Helping each other to smile rather than causing sins.
People hurt each other through messages and words,
But if we all looked up maybe we'd be free like the birds.
Flying past the hurt with no care about their words,
That is the main reason why we should become these birds.
So everyone join me and smile,
Move away from your phones for just that little while.
Because we could walk a thousand miles,
And that way maybe we could learn of our own different styles.
