Chapter 3: Reuniting with an Old Friend

Once everyone finished their meal, they set off to look for Timber. Max, Twitch and Spike were the most excited. They couldn't wait to see their old friend again.

"Eh it's kinda hot here isn't it?" Adira said, not too happy as she kept fanning herself, the snow leopard not used to the heat. "Better get used to jungle heat. Especially since it's the summer" Tazer teased her with a smirk as the snow leopard glared at him, annoyed.

"Try standing in the shade of the trees. You'll feel better"

A voice outside of the group suggested, and Adira glanced to her right where the voice came from and she saw a large tree. The snow leopard gladly entered the shade and to her relief, she felt the heat burning on her fur gone. "Ah that's better" she said pleased but then her face fell when she realized that this was a voice unfamiliar to her. "Wait a minute" she said as she turned to see someone leaning against the tree and he pushed himself off, walking into the light.

The source of the voice was a white wolf, wearing a green sleeveless vest that resembles a leaf, black pants, green sports tape on his wrists and ankles, a brown belt with a pouch and other potions attached, black fingerless gloves and black open toed shoes. He had brown eyes and part of his fur braided too and a brown choker with a green leaf charm on it.

"Timber!" Max said excited, recongizing him. He smiled at seeing his old friend again. Timber smiled back at Max.

"Hey Max. It's been a long time" Timber told him as he approached the lion and the two fist bumped. "Timber!" Spike yelled excited as he ran to hug the wolf. Timber gladly returned the hug as Twitch approached him. The last time the four were together was when they celebrated Max completed his Jungle Rite.

"Great to see you old friend" Timber said to Max as he looked at him. The wolf then noticed the group behind the lion. "And I see there are new friends as well" Timber noted as he placed a hand on his hip, looking forward to meeting them all.

Timber noticed Koda and he smiled at him "Hey there little Koda" Timber said as he knelt down to the kit's height. "Hey there Timber!" Koda said excited as he walked up and high fived him.

"By the way Timber, how was Koda when I was gone?" Max asked as he looked at his brother and smirked at him with his arms cross. Koda froze and smiled at his brother large, nervous, and big. Since Timber was like a second big brother to Koda plus he had amazing healing skills, he asked him to watch over his brother when he left the jungle. His little otter brother would often times be a troublemaker.

"He was alright. He helped out a bit around the jungle while you were gone" Timber told him as he stood up, putting his hands on his hips. Koda smiled big and proud as he put his hands on his hips. "Well yeah. With Max gone, someone has to watch and protect the jungle. Without me and Max away, this jungle would be in a whole lot of trouble" Koda exclaimed proudly as Max quietly chuckled at him.

Timber then smirked at him as he thought of something "Trouble? Like that one time you playing around and you rolled a large rock over the elder's hut?" He reminded him as Koda's smile fell and his eyes widen at the reminder. Everyone around him chuckled, finding his situation amusing to them.

"Well I I I uh..." Koda tried to think of something for an excuse but nothing. Timber was enjoying this as he kept going. "The elder and your parents were so upset that your punishment was to fix the elder's hut. And when you crushed it, he was in the middle of his shower too!" Timber continued, chuckling at the last part.

Koda turned to the wolf "That last part was awful. When I saw the elder without clothes, I've never been more grossed out in my life!" Koda said disgusted, running a hand down his face as he shook his head to rid the image of that moment.

Max came and gently elbowed his brother "Hey! Why wasn't I invited?" Max asked, playfully offended. "Because you were away" Timber told him simply, smirking at the lion.

"Well I was on my way to my mom to give her some herbs. You guys can come if you wish" Timber told them as Max looked at them.

"I don't think it would hurt" Max said as he looked at his friends to see what they thought. Everyone nodded to him, wanting to know their new friend.

"If wherever we're going has something cold, please take me there" Adira told them irritated from the heat as she kept fanning herself. Max chuckled at her "Lead the way Timber" Max said as the wolf nodded to him, smiling.
