Meanwhile in Apachi's lair...
Apachi had been watching the others and listening to Daria's story from his spellbook. "Hmm" Apachi hummed to himself thinking, sitting crossed legged.
Remra and Kali were nearby. The white tigress was leaning on the wall with her arms crossed, her eyes focused on the young wolf pup. Remra was trying to focus his new shadow magic. To the remora's surprise, it was actually alot difficult to control it. It made him wonder how theb
Kali smirked at the aquatic creature and aimed one of her gauntlets at him, centered at the small frizzy ball of shadow magic and she launched it. The small icy blade shot through the shadow ball, making it disappear and Remra yelped surprised, his eyes widen and blinking.
The remora turned to the tigress, glaring at her. Kali smirked at him, chuckling. Apachi's ears twitched at her voice and he didn't need to turn around to know what was going between those two. They haven't really been getting along.
He rolled his purple eyes. "Here I am a child, surround by two adults. When these two are the ones acting like children and I am the true adult here" he mumbled to himself irritated, his ears flatten.
He stood up on his feet and placed his hands beneath the book to carry it and he turned around to face them. "Kali. Remra. Play nice. You're friends" he scolded them as he approached the two. "Forgive me master" Remra apologized, bowing to him.
Kali retracted one of the blades from her gauntlets, examining it "Correction pup. We're allies. Not friends" she corrected him as she made eye contact with her dark blue eyes, showing that she was challenging him.
Remra glanced at her surprised and then at Apachi fearfully. The remora had quickly learned not to underestimate his new master, despite how young he was.
Apachi shook his head at her disappointed. But then he smirked at her "True you are allies. But allies who act like children. Not a very suitable behavior for a queen now is it?" He told her mockingly and she glared at him, snarling with her ears flat. She felt insulted. She felt like back when she was reprimanded by her parents for standing up for the lions and she would stand down just for them until her sister Felina would rule. But same thing happened once more with her sister too. Not this time.
" I will be my own kind of queen when I rule. No one will tell me what to do" she told him firmly. This time, Kali was determined to be her own queen in her own way. Apachi could sense that she would be difficult to get along with. He would have to keep a close eye on her to ensure his plans don't have any obstacles in the way.
"Sigh. Please try to be more calmer. For we might be getting a new ally" he calmly explained to her as he approached both his teammates with the book opened.
"Lièhuǒ" he told them. Remra and Kali looked at him confused and then one another. Remra just shrugged. There were times when the pup puzzled them.
"Pardon me master. But isn't this Lièhuǒ well you know...dead?" Remra pointed out. "That's right. The story said that the guardian defeated him" Kali added. Even though she liked to mess with Remra, for once she had to agree with him.
That's when Apachi smirked. "Defeated yes. But the story didn't specifically nor clearly said how he was defeated. Lièhuǒ's fate was left unknown" he revealed to them as he turned the pages and the magic showed an image of this orange flower with specks of fire sprouting from the blossom. Kali and Remra stared at it curiously, not sure what that flower had to do with trying to get the Amulet of Nature.
"But I know his fate. When a flame goes out, all we have need to is to light it up once more. Heh heh" Apachi explained and chuckled as his purple eyes settled on the flower...with a plan in mind.
