THE CONFRONTATION(PART-1)

Adviti's POV:    
                    VR's only love of life 'chai' was finally there. His expressions almost resembling a little kid, gawking at his favourite candy didn't fail to make me slightly smile amidst all the mess that was taking place in my head, as the past memories rushed in. Now it was my turn to clear the throat. "Ahem..." I said, pretending to clear my throat! "Oh! Sorry", there came his sheepish smile, "please continue, waise if you don't mind, take my advise and in between speaking about that gadh... sorry I mean Niketan, you can drink your coffee, I am sure it will turn into cold coffee within no time" he said as he sipped first sip of his tea. "Yeah, sure..." I lifted my cup of coffee and continued speaking.
                    "I wish he had left pursuing me the moment I rejected his proposal at the office. I wish. Even the situations around was normal for the next few days. I had almost forgotten that incident, envisaging it to be a nightmare, until that one day I saw him all of a sudden in my home as I returned from work." "Wait! Whaa... That millionaire fellow turned up to your house even after your rejection? He has definitely no self-respect left within him" I just glared at Varun considering his sudden remark. "Sorry, continue" came his meek voice. I proceeded with the narrative, " He was speaking in a little extra sweet tone to my nani. As, I entered both their gazes fell on me. Ohh! You came, see this guy Niketan came to see us all by himself. Such a sweet guy you have chosen for yourself." Shaken by her statement, I asked " Wait, I chose. What do yo..." My nani cut me off and continued, "He is soo humble. Both me and your papa are impressed by his demeanor. Also, he has promised that he will arrange the money for your papa's operation as soon as possible. So she went on and on praising Niketan" I had little patience left within me to put up with any more drama and I said, " Nani, chod deejiye yeh sab sapne. I am not marrying this guy" and stormed out of the living area as swiftly as possible. "Beta..." Came my nani's sweet voice. "Did y'all two have a fight or something?" Not quite surprised by her innocence I briefed her the entire story behind Niketan's arrival. She seemed to have struggle in deciphering the words, probably it was all too much to take for her. She thought for a while and said, "shadi karlo."
               It was my turn to be surprised now." Par kyun? Mujhe nahi karni haina shadi usse?", to which nani responded in a meek voice, almost whispering " Suno Adu, arranging the money for your papa's operation, is not possible for you right now and his condition is already critical. You know that even if it's true that your monthly earnings are pretty good now, most of it goes in getting those costly medicines to him. Now that, Niketan has agreed to pay for his operation, your dad will be fine, he can walk like before, he can roam wherever he want, that charm in his face will be back, he will finally be my son, that son whom your mumma blessed me with the day she married him. You wouldn't want me to stay without my son. Do you?" she caressed my trembling face as she spoke. "Ok. I am marrying him" was all that my mouth could say at the moment, while my mind wanted to scream in frustration.

Translation: But why? I don't wanna get marry to him na...)
