"I'm coming, fuck!" I hear Abel yell before opening the locked door. Someone barges in and slams Abel to the wall because I hear him curse and shout in pain.

My legs begin to shake and I freeze in the tiny closet. I find a small slit in the cupboard door to peek out from, and I freeze as I see a tall, hooded figure holding Abel by the throat against the wall with a knife pressed against his neck.

"Where is my fucking money, Abel," the man hisses, inching closer to Abel with every vicious word.

"You'll have it soon enough," he rasps, trying to breathe under his tight grip.

"That's not fucking good enough!" The man screams. I feel my body shake even harder in the tight closet, terrified that he is going to hurt Abel.

"I just need some more time. You know you can trust me, Kai," Abel says calmly under the man's grip.

"Bullshit," Kai spits. "I know your tricks, asshole. You don't think we've been here before? Or are you forgetting the time I fucked your bitch in front of you?"

"That's enough!" Abel bellows, pushing Kai straight off him and punching him square in the jaw. Kai leaps up and slams Abel into the ground, rolling himself on top of him.

Just as he raises the knife to his face, I burst out of the cupboard.

"NO!"

The two men in front of me are silent. Abel's eyes widen and his nostrils flare as he takes in the sight of me - Disobeying him, again.

"Well, well, well."

Kai steps off Abel and spins the knife in his hand, beginning to walk over to me. Abel scrambles to his feet and tackles him to the ground before he can get his hands on me.

"Leave her the fuck alone!" He yells. "She has nothing to do with this!"

As if things couldn't get more chaotic, two more hooded figures burst into the room and grab Abel off of Kai, pulling his strong arms behind his back and restraining him.

Kai stands up straight, pulling the hood down from his head and dusting off his front. He looks over at me and smiles an awful grin that sends a shiver down my spine.

I stumble backwards but feel my back press up against the closet again. I have nowhere to go, and Abel is completely restrained and unable to help me.

"Please," I whisper. "Don't hurt me."

Kai chuckles and swiftly removes the space between us in only a few steps. He reaches a finger to lock a loose strand of hair behind my ear, evoking a violent shiver down my entire body.

"Your boyfriend owes me some money," he whispers in my ear. "And he's going to pay. Oh, he's certainly going to pay."

"No!" Abel screams, fighting against the two men holding him in place.

Kai reaches for my arms and picks me up, swinging me over his shoulder. I scream in protest and bang my fists against his back.

Just as we reach the door, a tall girl with bright purple hair blocks the way.

"The fuck you think you're doing Kai?" She sneers.

He drops me at once but still holds me against his side.

"Audrey," he snides. "I have business to take care of."

She rolls her eyes and looks past Kai to where two men are still holding Abel.

"Seriously? What is this, your little boy gang trying to make a scene?" She laughs. "Get the fuck outta here."

Kai growls at the girl in front of him, but to my surprise, doesn't protest.

"Let's go," he hisses, and Abel is immediately freed from the two men's grip.

I stand there, still in shock from what is going on.

"Well, I'm not much for introductions but, I'm Audrey," the girl tells me bluntly. "Suppose you're one of Abel's little play things."

I step back and narrow my eyes. "Actually- "

"What do you want, Audrey?" Abel groans from behind me. She chuckles and steps past me to walk up to him.

"Baby, you didn't tell me you brought us a little toy."

"She's not a- "

"Shh," she coos, pressing her index finger to his lips. My stomach ignites in flames at the sight and I snarl at her.

"Who the fuck are you?" I spit, folding my arms across my chest.

"Abel's girlfriend," she replies confidently. My heart drops.

"Ex fucking girlfriend," Abel confirms immediately, shoving her off him. "You can fuck off now."

Audrey scoffs and flips her dry, purple hair over her shoulders. "That's one way to say thank you for saving your shitty life. Your little bitch over here would have certainly had fun though with Kai. The things that man can do with his dick- "

"Enough!" Abel bellowed, pushing Audrey even closer away from him.

"Baby," she continued. "Don't act like you don't want me now just because you're little plaything is watching. You know how good I made you come last night."

My stomach drops again.

"What?" I utter.

Abel runs his hands through his hair and shoots Audrey a glare.

What?

"Get the fuck out," he spits, not looking at me.

"Don't worry. I know you know where to find me, baby."

She struts over towards the door and smirks down at my expressionless facade.

"Nice to meet you, pretty. Too bad you don't know what you're getting yourself into."

With that, she closes the door behind her.

Silence.

"Ara- "

"Don't."

He doesn't push.

He slept with his ex-girlfriend, just last night?

At the party?

In that room? That he put me to sleep in? That he-

Oh, God.

"I cannot believe you," I finally say.

Instead of apologising profusely as he usually does, he grows angry with me and throws his arms in the air.

"Well, what did you expect? It's not like you're my fucking girlfriend! I owe you nothing."

My eyes shoot down to the floor at how stupid I've been. I've let myself trust this stranger with my heart, someone I barely know. Of course he's not going to treat it like it's fragile or worth taking care of.

"Yeah," is all I can say, disappointment rushing right through me. "I shouldn't have trusted you."

"Fuck off with that bullshit. You could have gotten yourself killed today," he remarks. Anger fires up in my stomach again.

"I tried to save you!" I bellow. "He was going to stab you!"

"Yeah, well, if you didn't decide to burst out and play hero, you might not have almost been fucking attacked again!"

"Oh, so it's my fault all the guys here are trying to get in my pants? You know what, fuck you, Abel."

"Fuck you too."

Tears well up in my eyes but I refuse to let this boy see me cry. He's done enough damage already, and this is the last time I let him use me like that.

"It was nice knowing you," I mutter, grabbing my things and slamming the door behind me.

Never again.
