~Elisa’s POV~
I forgave him. It was done and over with. But I had a gut feeling that this was far from over with. As I lay cuddled up against Danny, I tried to decipher that feeling, but ended up with no luck.
“What’s wrong baby?” Daniel asked lifting my chin up so he could look me in the eyes.
“It’s nothing, just forget about...”
“Please tell me what’s bothering that pretty little mind of yours.”
I sighed, knowing that he would press the subject till he got it out of me.
“It’s just I have this feeling, I know this sounds stupid, but I have this feeling that something bad is going to happen.”
“Well first off, don’t you worry because I would never let any harm come to you, and second of all as Alpha, I would know if trouble was coming.”
“Ok, let’s just not talk about it anymore though, I’m tired.”
We sat there and watched T.V for a little while, until I heard my phone ringing of the wall. I opted not to get it but, it could be important, so I decided to answer it. I checked the caller I.D., it was my parents.
“Hello? Mom, Dad?”
“Hey sweetie! How have you been, sorry we haven’t called in a while.”
“I’m fine, and its ok, it just feels good to hear your voices again.”
“Honey, I have to make this short, but to get to the point, do you remember Asher?”
How could I forget, he broke my heart and shattered it!
“Yeah, and what does he have anything to do with this?”
“Well, Asher and Melissa, the Alpha’s daughter are getting married this weekend, and he is demanding your presence there. The thing is though; it’s for pack members only so you cannot bring Daniel.”
My heart froze, there was only one thing that would happen, and it would be that my heart would be broken by the end of that trip.
“I can’t go mother, not unless Daniel comes with me.”
There was a brief pause and some whispering in the background,
“Well Asher will not approve, but you have to be there, there is one condition though…”
“And that is?”
“Daniel cannot attend the wedding, but he can accompany you on the trip.”
I decided not to push the subject any farther, knowing that the verdict wouldn’t change no matter what I tried.
“Ok mother”
“Oh, and by the way, your flights are scheduled to leave at ten tonight, so you have about seven hours to pack. Well I let you go now, bye!”
“Love you too...” I mumbled into the phone, but it was too late she had already hung up.
After I hung the phone up, I felt someone’s arms slip around my waist from behind me. I immediately melted into those arms.
“Everything alright babe?” He asked tenderly kissing my neck.
“No, because in less than seven hours we have to be on a plane ready for the Alpha’s daughter wedding. The only thing is, is that you can accompany me, but you are not allowed at the wedding.”
I left out the part about Asher being the one to marry, that would only make him go all Alpha protective modes on me.
“First of all, why didn’t they tell you till know? Second of all, I’m going to that wedding with you if it is the last thing I do.”
