Daniel‘s POV·

She slammed the door in my face, she didn’t give me a chance to explain. What did I really expect though? For her to forgive me and run into my arms, with making me fight for her.

I rung the bell again, nobody answered. I rung it again, it took a few minutes, but somebody finally answered. When the door opened there stood a red eyed Elisa. I felt guilty knowing, that I caused those puffy red eyes.

“Please, let me explain.” I begged.

She was about to close the door, but I held it open. She groaned, and tried again, still I held it open. A guy, that was in my grade, came up and slung his arm around Elisa.

“Is there a problem here dude?” He asked me.

“Yes there is a problem her, you have your hands all over my mate, that’s my problem.” I growled through my teeth.

He stiffened beside him, and pushed her behind him a little.

“So your this Asher kid. You’re the guy who rejected my cousin, just cause you wanted to be alpha. Well you listen, you didn’t want her, so I would just leave. Right now.” He growled at me.

I stared at him clueless. Why would he call me Asher? Why would he yell at me for rejecting Elisa just to become Alpha? What the hell is going on?

I saw Elisa start to tear up. I wanted to find out who this Asher was. He was going to pay for whatever he did to her.

“Who is Asher?” I let out slowly.

Elisa took in a big gulp of breath then ran off. I wished I could run after, but right now she didn’t want me, and I was pretty sure this guy wasn’t too fond of me either.

“Aren’t you Asher Hayward. The guy that is supposed to be my cousins mate, but left her for the Alpha’s daughter?”

“Uh, no. I’m Daniel Johnson, and I think you got it wrong, I’m Elisa’s mate.”

I stood there confused. I was her mate, she was, well, my second chance mate. I really needed to look into that, maybe my grandfather would know, or have a book on it.

“Sorry bro, this Asher dude, was definitely her mate.”

“Can I see her? Please I will only be a minute, I promise, I just need to make sure she is ok.”

“I guess, but don’t tell her I let you in. Tell her you found your on way in.”

“Thank you so much.”

I eagerly, ran up to her room, following her scent. When I got to her door, I stood out side of it for a minute. I don’t know why, but I just stood there. Before I could knock, the door flew open, and there stood a teary eyed Elisa.

“Wha..what are you doing he..here?”

　

“I needed to know you were ok, I needed to see you.”

　

“Well, I’m fine, so you can leave know.”

　

“Can I come in, I need to tell you something.”

　

I had decided earlier, that I would tell her about Emily, everything. She needed to know, maybe she would understand then. Maybe telling her would be the sign from Emily I needed.

　

“Fine, but please make it quick then leave.”

I nodded, and followed her in. Her room looked like a normal teenagers wall, the walls were purple, but you could barely see it with all the One Direction, Justin Bieber, and The Wanted posters everywhere.
