Marinette ran into her parent's bakery and dashed into her room, leaving her parents, Tom and Sabine very confusedTom started to follow Marinette upstairs right before Sabine stopped him. "Maybe we should give her a few minutes, Tom." The older woman said, resting her hand on her husband's shoulder.
Marinette stormed into her bedroom, throwing her bag onto the floor, her Kwami, Tikki flying out just in time. The Kwami had worried look on its face. "Marinette, maybe it was just a miss understanding..?" Tikki hesitantly spoke, attempting to comfort her holder.
"Tikki, there's nothing to not understand!" Marinette stated sadly. "Adrien doesn't love me anymore.." She sat on her bed trying to wipe her nonstop tears. Mari looked up at her corkboard, looking at all the photos she had taken of Adrien, just now realizing how obsessed she was with him.
Marinette felt like she was going to regret this decision later, but at this point, she didn't care anymore. She began to take down every photo she had of her ex-boyfriend and tossed them onto the floor
The red Kwami sighed worriedly, knowing nothing they would say could change Marinette's mind. Tikki sat back and watched her sadly.
Then, there was a faint knock at the window, which made Mari jump out of her skin. "Hide Tikki!" She whisper-yelled. Tikki flew into Marinette bag as she went to open the door to her balcony. She stepped outside with a confused look on her face. She didn't see anyone, "This break up is making me go crazy.." she thought before sighing and going back inside
"Where you going, Marinette ?" The voice from above said as Chat Noir said, jumping down from the roof
Marinette screeched in fear from the sudden visit. "Chat Noir?! What are you doing here?!" She questioned, "How did you know where I lived?"
The cat laughed "Your parents own the best bakery in Paris, how could I not?" He smiled.
Marinette became flustered, her cheeks turning a rosy red. "Why are you here?" She asked him softly. The girl had already had a bad enough headache, and now her sidekick was here to make it worse.
the blonde boy shrugged "I was patrolling and decided to drop by." He replied, resting on the rail of the balcony "So what's up?"
Marinette sighed "Chat Noir, I'm not in the mood right now." She mumbled bluntly. She was already on the verge of tears as she crossed her arms
Chat frowned, knowing he was the one who caused this. "Well, looks like we both need both need a bit of cheering up on this lovely night." He said before pulling out a red rose, bending over slightly and handing it over to the shorter girl "To our friendship"
Marinette rolled her eyes at Chat Noirs silliness. "if you thought of me as a friend, then you would have given me a yellow rose" She started, pushing it away. "Not a red rose."
He looked confused, " Does the color matter that much?"
She nodded, already walking back inside "Red represents passion, while yellow represents friendship."
"So are you some type of flower expert?" Chat followed after her, admiring Mari's room. His green eyes drifted to the photos of Adrien on the wall and floor. He was puzzled since he's never seen how many photos Marinette had of him. He went down the ladder and picked up one of the pictures, deciding to play dumb "Whos this?"
Marinette stopped in her tracks "You don't know who Adrien Agreste is?" She said in shock "He's probably more famous than you!"
"Never heard of him." He said sitting down at her desk and kicking his feet on the table
Marinette groaned "I didn't give you permission to come inside." She pushed his feet off "Ya'know, many find it rude to show up unexpectedly." She pouted.
Chat chuckled. "Fine, my apologies." He got up and kissed her hand just before she yanked it away "Maybe next time — " The taller boy was interrupted by his cat phone
" AKUMA ALERT " the screen readout in huge letters
"Well," He started, backing away from marinette, up the ladder, and onto the balcony "My time here has been cut short, M'lady. I'll see you next time"
"I didn't want you here in the first place!" She followed him, shoeing him off the balcony "Go do your job"
Chat Noir turned and gave her a light smile before leaping off the balcony
Tikki flew over to Marinette "That silly kitty." She sighed. "We better get there before the attack gets worse," Marinette told Tikki
"Tikki, Spots on!"
