The constables ushered them all toward the waiting police station, Inspector Thai's stern gaze fixed upon them. In a bid to defuse the tension, Win stepped forward, his voice laced with diplomacy.
"Sir, perhaps there's been a misunderstanding here," Win began, his words carrying a tone of reason. "We're just friends out for some fresh air."
Pit, Nine, and Nib joined in, their expressions a mixture of assurance and support. Inspector Thai, however, remained resolute.
"Whatever your purpose here," he retorted firmly, "roaming around a murder site at night is grounds enough to detain all of you."
Nib protested, his voice tinged with defiance, "This is a government-owned place. Anyone can visit."
Inspector Thai's patience wore thin, and he raised his voice to reassert his authority.
"Only when the place is open to the public!" he barked.
Suddenly, Inspector Thai's eagle eye caught Nine attempting to conceal something in his hand. With a demanding tone, he ordered Nine to reveal what he was hiding. Stumbling over his words, Nine hesitated, prompting Inspector Thai to close the distance between them. He demanded that Nine surrender whatever he had.
Reluctantly, Nine handed over the comb, and a heavy silence settled over the group. Without further ado, Inspector Thai instructed them to board the waiting police jeep. Nib, however, voiced his concern.
"I have my own car," Nib asserted, hesitant to let his vehicle be tampered with.
Inspector Thai wasted no time, instructing his constables to take Nib's car keys.
"Do not touch my car!" Nib protested vehemently.
In response to Nib's outburst, Win reached out and clasped his hand, a subtle gesture of reassurance. Seeing the two of them holding hands, Inspector Thai seemed to sense a connection beyond what met the eye. He donned sunglasses, veiling his emotions, as the group, including Mew, Jian, Pit, and Nine, climbed into the police jeep, their fate hanging in the balance as they embarked on an uncertain journey.

Pit suggested that Nine take the available seat beside Inspector Thai, but Nine declined, leaving only one option. Nib took the initiative and occupied the seat, drawing curious glances from everyone. Then, he extended his hand to Win, who graciously accepted it and settled onto Nib's lap.
