MORNING PRACTICE.
Hinata seemed to be aware of his surroundings. Everything; his teammates, the managers, the coach, the club advisor, the shut gym doors, the empty benches, the white haired male who was sitting on one of the empty bench- see, Hinata wasn't crazy.
The first thing that came up to his mind was to scream and point at the male, but he couldn't do that. He found himself frozen as the other's golden eyes stared directly at him.
"Hinata?"
Hinata flinched and whipped his head to look at Kageyama staring down at him, Hinata couldn't decipher was it annoyance or pure curiosity that was lacing the setter's voice.
"Are you seeing yesterday's mysterious person?"
The question came out as a careful whisper, and it got Hinata's full attention. He gave a meek nod to the taller - who wasn't even looking at him anymore. He followed Kageyama's gaze and found himself looking back to the 'mysterious person'.
Kageyama could see him?
Before Hinata opened his mouth to ask a question, the male on the bench smiled to them - to him. Unlike yesterday, though, the male seemed to be familiar with his surroundings.
"You two!"
A duet of scream was heard after Sawamura patted Kageyama's and Hinata's shoulders, they were just staring at an empty bench and it creeped everyone out. Calling their names was useless, and touching them made them scream apparently.
"What's wrong with you two, seriously?"
"The boy from ye-"
"Nothing." Kageyama cut, not even sparing Hinata a glance. He knew Hinata would be glaring at him, maybe ready to throw a punch, well, maybe not to that extend - you get the point.
Hinata was having none of it, the mysterious male's presence slowly drove him to insanity and he had to make sure he wasn't going nuts. "Something! The boy from yesterday came, the one I saw standing beside Yachi!"
By the time Hinata stopped talking, Sugawara had come along with Tanaka. Sugawara made sure everyone went back to practicing before he did, except Tanaka who didn't bother to listen to the order.
The three older boys looked at each other, confusion was clear in their eyes. "Hinata, you're probably still tired. Have you gotten enough rest?" Sugawara asked, breaking the uncomfortable silence between them.
"I'm not tired, Kageyama can see him, too."
The person mentioned flinched slightly, groggily looked away from the three people who were now looking at him, expecting an answer.
"The shrimp has gone insane. Poor guy."
A snicker followed the remark and everyone in the team could tell it was the other first year duo, Tsukishima and Yamaguchi. The two arrived a bit late, due to... something came up. Behind them was Ukai, their coach, and Sawamura decided to drop whatever Hinata was going on about.
"Tsukishima, Yamaguchi! Tell me that you can see that guy!" Hinata, as quick as ever, jumped in front of the two people, pointing his finger at the white haired male.
The mysterious male - white hair, bright golden eyes - was laughing to himself, probably because of Hinata's antics and the failed attemps to make people see him. The laughter reached both Hinata's and Kageyama's ears and, unfortunately, Kageyama decided to ignore it.
Tsukishima grimaced, not even bothering to take a peek over at where Hinata was pointing at, then left to do some stretching. Yamaguchi only sighed, wanting to follow the taller, but Hinata kept him glued on his spot with the pleas that sounded more and more pitiful.
