Take Her Home

Chapter 03

Kakashi and Sasuke were staying in an inn, waiting for a message from the hokage before they could devise a plan to find Naruto and the two Akatsuki members.

Sasuke has been in a daze since. His mind wondering to many things: why was Sakura with Itachi? Did she leave the village 3 years ago rather than kidnapped? Why can't she remember them? Who trained her? Was it Itachi? Does Itachi know that Sakura was his teammate? How close are they? Why was she paired with him?

But there was one question that Sasuke tried to avoid thinking: will he kill her if worse comes to worst one day? Does he have the courage to kill the kunoichi?

Sasuke ran his hand through his hair frustratingly. He still couldn't believe the events that transpired and now they're expected to engage in a fight them. He might be prepared for Itachi, but he wasn't for Sakura.

"Sakura." Kakashi said.

"What?" Sasuke asked confused with his sudden mention of the name.

"She possess the same strength as Lady Tsunade. Probably even more." Kakashi deducted. The man spent the hours coming into conclusion on what skills his former student could possess.

"She also has a Byakugou Seal on her forehead." Kakashi said, rubbing his covered chin with his fingers.

"So she's a medical ninja." Sasuke responded.

"And a great one at that." Kakashi said, "Attaining that seal is a hard thing to do. She must have achieved more if she has it in just three years."

"So she's dangerous?" Sasuke asked even though he knows the answer.

"Ah. But we don't know what else she can do. There might be more."

"What makes you say that?"

"Sasuke." Kakashi looked intently at his student, "She's with your brother."

"And what about it? Just because she's with him doesn't make her even more dangerous." Sasuke denied her possible relationship with his brother.

"And what if she was with him these past three years? Would you kill her too for betraying us?"

Kakashi looked at Sasuke's face as he contemplates and find an answer for him. He knows his student already thought about it but even himself couldn't answer it.

"She's not just my responsibility. The reason I want to kill Itachi is because of my past but Sakura..... Sakura is our responsibility, she's Team 7's. I don't want to answer that unless I get to talk to Naruto and you altogether, as well as her parents."

Kakashi sighed, "Knowing Naruto, he'd want her to be saved."

"Then we'll save her, even if we have to use force."

Sakura and Itachi were telepathically called by Pain to head to the hideout under a cliff, an instruction to start the extraction of the Kyubi from Naruto.

Arriving at the place, standing on a huge statue finger of the Jubi, holograms of the other Akatsuki members started appearing.

"Ohohoho. As usual from our feisty princess, she was able to get the jinchuriki!" Hidan smiled creepily at her, "Perhaps you want to join me and serve our Lord and Savior, Jashin?"

Itachi eyed him while Kisame spoke, "Careful there, Hidan, you don't want to be killed by Itachi, do you?"

"Why why, I would love to be killed by the Uchiha but let me tell you, Itachi, you can't kill me!" Hidan proceeded to laughing hysterically.
