Chapter 04.1

S A K U R A

The fist that Sakura initially intended to connect to Naruto's face came to an abrupt stop when images started to play before her eyes.

She saw her parents, her childhood friends and the day she started Academy.

She saw Ino, she saw Iruka-sensei, and she saw Sasuke and Naruto.

She saw the day she wore the Konoha Hitai-ate and was teamed with the survivor of the Uchiha clan and the shunned kid.

She saw the day the board eraser fell on Kakashi's head as a little mischievous plan from Naruto that she and Sasuke agreed to.

She saw the day when Kakashi conducted their first training wherein they have to snatch the bells hanging on Kakashi's waist.

She saw the day they started their first C-rank mission to Waves Country where they encountered Zabuza and Haku.

She remembered the fear in her eyes when she saw Orochimaru biting Sasuke's shoulder near his nape, leaving a curse mark and saw the boy she loved lose his sanity in the Forest of Death.

She remembered the horrifying day of the Chunin Exams where they were invaded by the Sound and Sand villages.

She remembered how she made Sasuke promise to avenge his clan with their help, fearing that the younger Uchiha might leave to attain his goal.

And she remembered the night she was abducted.

She was having recurring nightmares about a man following her everywhere but when she looked back to see, there was no one. As she slept, she felt eyes on her that glows in red but when she looks around her room, there was still no one.

Until one night.

Sakura woke up from her nightmare again but to her dismay, her nightmare became a reality.

She opened her eyes to meet with another which glowed in red, a bunch of shapes spinning on it as she slowly doze off to oblivion.

She woke up to see the same pair of glowing eyes but her surroundings were no longer at home. She remembered being in disarray due to the confusion of who she is, who he is, and where she is.

Much like a newborn child who cries once they've been released because they too are in confusion but being that they just arrived, they couldn't do anything but cry.

Sakura felt the same distress, the only difference was she can talk and think her own thoughts.

The man with red eyes introduced himself as Uchiha Itachi. He said her name was Haruno Sakura and she's a genin ninja from Konoha.

Fortunately, she remembered what she learned in Academy. She knows about the Five Great Nations and she knows what's bad from good. The only memories taken from her was her identity and how she lived.

The memories flashed before her eyes as she slowly let go of Naruto's neck. Tears blurred her vision when she realized that she was about to kill Naruto. An overwhelming feeling struck her because after 3 years, she was finally fed with the truth.

But once she realized the reason these memories played, she dropped herself on the ground and cried her heart out. As much as she wants to tackle Naruto in a hug, she rather felt sorrowful.
