Xi Wenjun lowered her voice, "Weiyin, tell me the truth. Did you come here just to see Lu Beichuan?"

The corners of Shen Weiyin's mouth curved up. She didn't say anything.

She didn't come here just to see Lu Beichuan. She had arranged for paparazzi to be stationed outside of Lu Corporation. Regardless if she saw Lu Beichuan or not, the gossip that she had come to Lu Corporation to discuss her contract renewal would spread by tomorrow.

She didn't care about this small contract. She only cared about Lu Beichuan.

Xi Wenjun had been Shen Weiyin's agent for several years. How could she not know what she was thinking? Seeing that Shen Weiyin was remaining silent, she understood that her silence was acquiescent.

"Terminate?"

Director Zhou put on a bold face. "That's right."

Xi Wenjun sneered. "Terminate? Your CEO might not know that its your company that benefits from having Weiyin endorse your company's brand, but you should clearly know that. If it wasn't for Weiyin's endorsing this brand, it couldn't have reached its current popularity. What is your CEO thinking? Burning the bridge after crossing it? Is that how Lu Corporation does its business?"

Director Zhou looked troubled. "This... I'm very sorry. I'm just a PR Director. I can't change CEO Lu's decision."

Shen Weiyin deeply looked at him. She wrote out an amount on the table. "Director Zhou, I want to directly talk with CEO Lu."

It was a very tempting amount.

Not waiting for Director Zhou to finish speaking, Shen Weiyin stood up. She put on her sunglasses and put on the air of someone about to leave. "I got it. Director Zhou, sorry, I didn't come here today with plans of terminating the contract. If your company wants to terminate the contract, let's schedule an appointment for another time."

The door to the conference room was suddenly opened. Ye Zhen was standing outside of the conference room and looking at Shen Weiyin with a smile.

Shen Weiyin stood in place. She watched Ye Zhen stride into the conference room and asked, "Mrs. Lu, what's your business coming here?"

"Nothing much." Ye Zhen slightly smiled. She sat down at the head of the conference table. She hadn't closed the door on her way in, so the people in the office area outside the conference room as well as the people walking by could hear their voices.

Director Zhou wanted to close the door, but Ye Zhen stopped him. "Director Zhou, weren't you talking about terminating the contract? Go on, continue."

"This... Mrs. Lu, for you to be here while we're discussing that, isn't it..."

Ye Zhen smiled. "I own 10% of the company's stocks. I could be considered a minority stockholder, right?"

"10... 10 percent?" This was outside of Director Zhou's expectations.

"10%?" Shen Weiyin was incredulous.

"Grandpa gave them to me." Ye Zhen downplayed how Old Master Lu had transferred her 10% of the company stock on her wedding day. She continued, "Go on, continue your discussion. I'm just here to listen."

Shen Weiyin deeply sighed. With an unhappy expression, she said, "The company didn't inform me in advance that they wanted to talk about terminating the contract today, so nothing has been prepared. If the company wants to terminate the contact with me, we'll make an appointment for another day."

“Miss Shen, your lawyer is here. What else do you need to prepare?"

There was a bustling crowd gathered outside the conference room. Shen Weiyin gave a vague answer, "If Miss Ye wants to know, you should go ask your husband."

Since you're confirming that you and my husband aren't childhood sweethearts, then all the stuff they wrote that's based on that rumor is also false, right? The two of you haven't pledged an oath of eternal love. Lu Beichuan isn't infatuated with you. Nor has he been waiting for the past several years for you while you've been working hard on getting the title of film empress. All of that is fake news, right?"
