rooftop talks

heyo! I was just writing in my notebook, and I came up with this. the second part of field trip will be out soon~!

peter swung to the rooftop of an empty building, an old factory probably. you could always see the best sunsets and get amazing views from there. no one knew of his spot. no one bit iron lad, peter parker's 'secret' boyfriend. 

they both wanted to reveal their identities when the time was right, but peter never knew when the right time came.

the avengers, plus aunt may, were the only people who knew their identities, they all knew of their relationship, but no one told the other of their identities.

peter waited for a while as the sun set, the warm soft pink glow of the descending sun cast on to peter. the golden hour. he thought. it's beautiful. 

iron lad then flew over silently, sitting next to peter.

"hey, spidey." he greeted him.

"hey."

"the sunset's really pretty tonight,"

just like you. peter thought. "yeah."

there was an awkward silence.

"so-- what's up?" peter asked, awkwardly.

"nothing much. normal things. fires, pets in trees. tony's complaining."

peter laughed, quietly he whispered something;

"you wouldn't be impressed by the person underneath my mask." he said.

harley smiled and opened his mask, revealing the boy peter recognized; harley keener.

"well, lucky for you, I like you just the way you are," he kissed peter's cheek and peter looked at him in surprise.

"--peter parker." harley ended, smiling. peter laughed and peeled of his mask.

"how did you know?"

"darlin' I knew when I saw you."

he leaned in and their lips meet in the middle, peter smiled against his lips.

"I love you."
