My legs were shaking and I almost couldn't stand straight. I was so nervous. Why did no one tell me before hand that I'd be participating as well.
The five teachers on our team were Thirteen, Present Mic, Midnight, Aizawa and me. We were standing around our flag in a circle, waiting for the countdown.
"Hey don't be nervous. Cute girls shouldn't be nervous." Midnight nudged my shoulder and winked at me, making me blush a little.
"Y-yeah, I'll try." I slurred out.
"Hey! Look at me! Am I cute?" She put her hands on her hips and made a pose in front of me. Cute? You are more than cute. Midnight was an absolute goddess. I couldn't compare myself with her.
I nodded. "And do I seem nervous to you?" I shook my head.
"So you shouldn't be nervous too." She continued. I gave her a weak smile. From the big speaker beamed the countdown. Everyone took a stable position and waited silently for the game to begin.
The sound of sirens marked the start of the game. Present Mic and Midnight ran out somewhere and Aizawa motioned me to move too.
We took a hiding spot somewhere in the middle of the playing field. The area was full of different pipes stretching across the whole field. I didn't know what was Aizawa's plan or if he had any but I knew I wouldn't be able to physically fight the students. I also couldn't defend myself in any way so I felt pretty useless.
"Hey, come closer." Aizawa motioned me to make a few steps towards him. We were crouched behind some building surrounded by a maze of pipes making it a great hiding spot.
"Did you touch any of the students before the game?" Huh? Why would he ask this? I'm not a creep and definitely not interested in underage kids.
'He means your quirk, you asshat.' My inner voice remarked. Oh yeah. I did shake hands with two kids from the other team when wishing them a good game. My face lit up.
"I did, I shook hands with Aoyama and Uraraka." Aizawa looked into the distance thinking about something.
"Okay, we have to find one of them and you'll use your quirk on them."
"Okay, but you have to be with me to save the students from me if it gets out of hand, okay?" I said anxiously, my legs were trembling again. He nodded and grabbed my wrist dragging me somewhere.
He abruptly stopped making me crash into his back. For the split second my face made contact with his back I could smell his scent. He smelled pleasant. The smell of cologne mixed with his musk was making me want to burry my face into his back for longer.
When I got out of my trance and looked where Aizawa was looking, I saw Aoyama with Tsuyu standing between two big pipes. We made few steps back so that they wouldn't see us.
"Okay use your quirk on Aoyama, 30 seconds should be fine." When he saw me hesitating he added. "You can do it." He put his hand on my shoulder and lightly squeezed it.
I gave him a small smile and slowly closed my eyes picturing Aoyama's face. I appeared in a school classroom. It wasn't at UA. I quickly looked around for Aoyama. I only saw a group of kids huddled around something loudly laughing and shouting.
"Hahaha your quirk is stupid!", "How can you be sick after using it." "You are good for nothing." The kids shouted and I immediately knew what was happening and who was the target of those remarks. I also knew how he felt. I was in this situation many times. Classmates making fun of my quirk to the point that I would rather say I'm quirkless and wish that my quirk would disappear. I quickly blinked, ending the illusion.
"What happened it was only 10 seconds." Aizawa looked at me confused.
"I can't do this to Aoyama. Can't we use a different plan?"
Meanwhile, Tsuyu noticed Aoyama's change of mood and that he stood not moving in a trance. "Ms.L/N is here somewhere! Be careful!" Tsuyu shouted.
Aizawa cursed under his breath and we started to run away. I was running behind him when something sticky wrapped around me and lifted me from the ground.
"Aizawa!" I shouted desperately. I looked up and saw Tsuyu on the roof of a building pulling me up.
"L/N! "Aizawa turned at my shouts and immediately activated his scarf.
He made his way up using his scarf swinging up from the pipes. Tsuyu pulled me to her and sat down still holding me wrapped in her tongue.
"Sorry." She croaked.
"It's okay, it's only a game." I smiled. I looked behind Tsuyu where Aoyama was sitting his clothes sticky from her tongue. He had a bit of glum expression but at least his eyes seemed to sparkle so that was good.
Suddenly a shadow shielded Tsuyu and when I looked up I saw Aizawa. He landed next to me, looking at Tsuyu.
"You okay?"
I nodded. His eyes started glowing and the tongue started loosening up until it completely fell down from me. When Aizawa saw that I was free, he told me to hug him and not let go. I quickly did what he said and he jumped down from the building.
We were freefalling for a few seconds and I was holding onto Aizawa's body for my dear life, digging my nails into his back. The fear of heights mixed with the pleasure of smelling his scent and pressing my face into his chest. To my surprise, he was well built. I could feel his muscles. His chest moved up and down with each breath.
"Um, you can let go now." Aizawa nudged me a little.
I looked down at my feet seeing that we already landed and I was still embracing him.
"Oh, sorry." I loosened my arms around him and stepped back, a blush painting my cheeks.
The sirens rang again signaling the end of the game and the speakers announced the victory of teachers.
