Scared

Natasha heard the shaking sobbing breath of the young girl get quieter and a thud sounded, meaning that the girl had probably dropped her phone. Crap. Was it too late? Natasha, an assassin who had come face to face with death more times than she could count, was terrified that there would be another death. If the girl died, it would be another line of red in her already dripping ledger. Natasha leaped off her motorcycle and looked around. Spotting the fire escape, Natasha climbed up it as fast as she could. Natasha was glad she had kept up her training. When she got to the top, she instantly spotted the tiny, unconscious figure, surrounded by blood. It looked like Natasha had not gotten there fast enough. The empty pill bottle lay beside the girl. A piece of paper lay in the girl's hand. Natasha knew what all the signs meant. How did she not see this coming. Natasha did not have time to ponder this. She ripped off her cotton jacket and wrapped the bleeding wrist as tightly as she could. She scooped the girl into her arms, trying to keep pressure of the wound. Nat grabbed the note. She rushed down the fire escape. There was no way that she could carry the girl while riding her bike. She ran towards the tower while dialing Bruce.

"Natasha? Where are you? We ordered pizza."

"No time for that. Get MedBay ready. Jenna attempted suicide. She overdosed and slit her wrist. She is unconscious. Call Strange. I have to go now." With that, Natasha hung up, not leaving any time for questions. When she got Jenna to MedBay, Natasha's heart was racing. Not from the exercise, but from fear. Natasha was terrified.
