13 years old

"Hah!" West dodged the approaching head kick from his father, ducking and returning to his previous stance only to quickly send a jab to Ryder's jaw; to which he only just missed.

Ryder was soon caught off guard as his son gave him a spinning roundhouse kick to the head, sending him to the ground. Trying to get up he was met with a roundhouse kick to the head, he could tell his son was doing what he had taught him. He was trying to keep him on the ground. West was about to punch him, but their training session was cut short by the worried voice of Ryder's wife.

"West! Go easy on your father! He's old!"She screamed from the cave entrance in short sentences. Ryder felt embarrassed by the "he's old" part. He wasn't that old!

Faint snickers could be heard behind the hands that covered the other dominants mouths.

Ugh! This was so embarrassing!

"He's fine mum!" Laughed West.

"My pride isn't!" Retorted the alpha.

"God! West stop being such a pansy!" Exclaimed Logan, his friends standing loyally behind him. They all smirked at the small alpha. He was still smaller than Logan. But just Logan... and.... and everyone else...

"Shut up Logan! I'm not a pansy, I'm a wolf!" Shouted West.

"Barely." Muttered one of Logan's friends, sending them all into a fit of laughter.

"West, you even shout like a weakling!" Another stated.

West scoffed, "I'm not weak. I took down dad today!"

"Yeah, we... don't believe you!" Their laughter continued as West's normally very patient personality was reaching it'd limit.

"Jesus West. You even look like one of those stupid omegas."

Smirked Logan, "No. He is."

That was it. West had had enough.

"You're a fucking asshole Logan!" Screamed West, turning on his heels and marching off.

'I'll show him. I'll show all of them! I'll show them just how scary this 'Omega' can really be!'

He thought to himself. He probably could've beaten them all up there and then, but Logan was still his brother and he wouldn't forgive him for hurting his friends. Not to mention it wouldn't show very good leadership skills if he just beat up anyone who called him weak. He'd lose future trust and loyalty for when he's alpha.

That was when an idea popped into his head. That was it!

Every Friday night there was what the pack liked to call, 'fight night'. It was when dominants fought to see who was strongest and eligible to be middle class In the pack.

All he had to do was have a little chat with his father.

One fighter wasn't enough...

"But Dad, please! I need to prove myself!" West begged, as his father shook his head in disapproval.

"No, you don't, West. Logan and his friends were just being silly. Don't take it to heart. You're not ready to fight three fighters on your own."

Ugh. So he thought it too. West Sully. The weak Alpha - barely. He looked like an omega so he must be somewhat an omega's strength. Pfft, Obvs.
