16 years old

This was it. Recently, Ryder had noticed that West had been disappearing at night for hours. Ryder watched from behind a wall in the caves back entrance as West got in a car that pulled up next to him. He could tell the drivers were human, meaning there was no need to territorial - but what had West been doing behind his back to be sneaking off with a couple guys in a car, almost every night after school?

Once the car was far enough for him to not be seen, Ryder slipped into his own and began to follow. He only knew where they were going because of Wests familiar scent; which was easy to follow.

Ryder couldn't sense West getting anxious, suggesting he'd been there before as West was normally a socially anxious person and wasn't fond of new places. The scent lead to areas that began to look more and more run down and dangerous. Ryder's anxiety was building. What was his innocent son doing in an area like this?

When he spotted the same car West had gotten into parked next to some run-down building; he decided to get out and try to have a peek into the building his son was obviously in. Looking through a barred window he could see a crowd surrounding what seemed to be a fight ring. The crowd was rowdy, loud and obnoxious. Something he knew, or thought, West wouldn't like or go willingly.

A head-splitting 'ding ding' filtered through the cheap walls and windows. Through a gap in the crowd, he saw a small pale-skinned, long white-haired boy with a lean but toned body throwing a larger guy over his shoulder and kneeing him in the chest. Suddenly the boy turned to kick another man in the lower gut, making him fall to the ground in agony.

The man on the ground struggled to his feet and grabbed the white-haired boy by his hair and pulled him away from the second guy and tried his best to hold him in a headlock. However, his stomach was met the boys elbow and his foot with the others, loosening his grip and resulting in a strong spinning roundhouse kick across the face and him losing consciousness.

Ryder knew it was West. Those spinning roundhouse kicks were like his signature move, he loved them.

West's attention was brought to the second man from earlier and drop-kicked his gut in the same place as before. The two fell to the ground, the man falling harder than West and getting more injured. West quickly regained his standing and pulled the man's hair like he had done to him earlier. He brought his face to his and appeared to have whispered something snarky, causing the man to growl in annoyance - soon silenced by West's knee embedding itself in his face. The man fell to the ground with a clearly broken nose and make a broken rib too.

The 'referee stopped the fight and held Wests arm up by his wrist, signalling his win. The crowd roared with excitement, meanwhile, Ryder stood shocked at his son's performance. He knew West was good at fighting but ever since his attempted kidnapping three years ago, he didn't show much interest in fighting anymore. Sure he trained but he didn't seem to be as obsessed with proving himself as he used to be. Ryder wasn't sure whether he preferred that or not. He thought he was done with obsessing over proving himself, but he was clearly wrong. In fact, it looked as if he was even more determined to be stronger. This time it was just in secret. From his dad.

Ryder watched his son eat his chunk of raw meat from a rabbit that was freshly caught earlier that morning.

"So..." Ryder began, catching West's attention although he didn't seem to react, "I noticed you've been getting better in training lately."

"Hm"

'Awkward' thought Ryder as the deafening silence continued. West had been distant for what seemed like forever to Ryder. At first, he thought that maybe West was getting depressed again about the whole 'omega-look alike' thing, but he had thought West was past that years ago.
