Ch 11. Rogue

As I am in cover, I heard the rogue agent talk to me, and immediately knew that it was a female. But paid no attention to her threats, for she isn't the first rogue to come across my path. I check my gear to make sure I am prepared. And this is where my story begins.

"Hm...I don't know where she's at, but let's see you hide from my pulse."

I muttered as I ready my pulse, then pulse the area for the agents locations. After a couple seconds. I got a ping on her area and found out that she was in fact across the street positioned behind another car about 100 meters out.

"So that's where you are eh?"

I had to be smart about this. Even though I'm a hunter, one slip up could spell disaster for me, so I came with a plan. In the meantime I engage the rogue in a conversation while I prep my things.

"Didn't know rogues were mercenaries now. How much did Antwon paid you to be his guard dog?"

The rogue was silent for a second, but responds.

???: "HA! If anything, he came to me pleaded to help him. I'm much more than his guard. He knows his place. And for pay...he paid enough."

"Well, I hate to break it to you..."

Before I finished the sentence I threw my firefly drone equipped with a flash, I them started firing in her direction which caused her to be suppressed.

???: "nice try asshole. You missed m- arrgg my eyes!!!"

As she was blinded, I took my opportunity and rushed to her as fast as I could, with my famas in my hands.

??? POV

As the person was shooting me. I ducked and waiting for his gun magazine to run out of ammo. As he finished I decided to taunt him.

"Nice try asshole. You missed m-"

I never got finished my sentence as a firefly flew right over my head an detonated it's flash, causing me to go blind while a painful feeling

"Arrrg!! My eyes!"

I rubbed my eyes as fast as I can to remove the blindness. It started working, but I soon heard his footsteps rapidly approaching.

(Shit shit shit!!!)

As I regained my vision a bit, I activated my portable shield to stop his advance.

Marcus(Jericho) POV

As I make it around the car to where she's station's, I held my gun up and shot a barrage of bullet, only for them to be deflected by a portable shield she activated in the nick of time. After the second mag the shield finally broke, I put my empty gun away since it would have taken too long to reload, and I rushed her.

???: "what the fuck?!?! Ahh!"

Was all she can say before rushed towards her and connected my first straight on her face.

"...he didn't pay you enough to deal with me."

She stumbles back but recovers quickly, and gets into a fighting position while she pulls out her combat knife, and I do the same.

As I get hit square on the face, I stumble back a bit, but quickly regained my footing. I was furious.
