"Harder!" Henry yells.
We were in the training grounds, practicing hand to hand combat.
Henry was a piece of trash but if I had to be honest, he was a badass fighter and teacher as well. This was the only use he had in my life.
He believes he's training a weapon for the army but rather than that, he is training the person who will kill him. As he trains me, he is technically committing suicide.
I throw a false punch at him and jump at his back to strike him with a kick on his shoulder.
I hear his shoulder dislocate and it thrills me.
Henry grabs his shoulder and shifts the bone back to it's original position.
What a man.
I rush to him in an attempt to grapple him but he rushes and grabs my wrist, twisting it to the point where my skin rips.
"You were too slow. Improve unless you won't ever survive."
It was obvious that he was trying to make me tap out.
I stare at him with my blood red eyes and pull my wrist out of his hold to make it obvious that I would never submit.
His smile widens and he charges straight towards me and kicks me in the abdomen causing me to fall on the floor.
Not even waiting for a second to pass, I lunge forward to throw another punch with the same hand he had twisted.
His eyes widen in amazement as my fist collides with his face.
He staggers to the floor with a smirk.
What is the bastard smiling about this time?
"What is it, Master? Master seems overjoyed about something. Could Master tell me what that may be?"
He stands up and laughs, "Throughout the fight, the only thing I could smell from you was murderous intent." He tells me with a sly smile.
I grit my teeth in annoyance that I could make such a clumsy mistake as a devil trained to be an assassin.
"Sorry, Master. If I may voice out?"
"Go ahead."
"Master always told me that an assassin must always fight with the intention to murder." I say, standing in a salute.
He squints his eyes at me then bursts into laughter.
Is this man crazy?
"Oh God, I guess I did say that, didn't I?" He says this in a serious tone while staring down at me with his white eyes as he pulls his hair back.
My facial expression does not falter and I continue to stare back at him with a straight face.
He pulls back and laughs lightly.
He then grabs my shirt by it's collar and pulls me closer, lifting me from the ground with just his grip.
"I'll tell you this once so listen. An assassin should always keep the thought of murder on their mind but never let it be apparent. An assassins main weapon is the element of surprise. If I smell that murderous intent ever again, I'll kill you without hesitation. You should remember that I was never fond of you to begin with." He says this with that sickly smile on his face again. So insincere, it makes me choke.
But I am not any better, "Yes, Master."
The only option I have as of now is to obey orders.
He reaches his hand and plays with my long blonde hair.
