Langa holds his breath as Reki raises his head, the veins in Reki's neck practically staring at Langa. Reki still has his eyes widened, and his hand clutches Langa's shirt for a moment, then immediately letting go. Reki looks back down at Langa taking in a breath.

"Oh my...Langa... sorry, I'll just..." Reki stammers, crawling off of him, then standing up.

Langa looks to his right and saw a boy with pale skin, and golden eyes that looks honey in the morning sun. His brown hair cups around his head and bounces away he walks the two teenagers. It's evident that he's handsome, just by the way his hair grazes his rounded glasses and anyone with eyes could see his freckles stand out all across his upper cheeks to his nose.

"Shiro." Reki lets out fidgeting with his fingers, the name sour in his mouth.

"Hey." The boy says, laughing nervously. Langa looks up to see Shiro and Reki, silently staring at each other and manages to finally speak.

"Reki, are you okay?" Reki looks down at Langa and stumbles to offer his hand. "Sorry. Here." As Reki raises him up, Langa notices Reki's uneasiness and that alone starts to make him feel nauseous.

"Do you know him?" Langa asks and Reki looks back to the brown hair boy, filled with an emotion Langa doesn't recognize.

"Langa, this is Shiro Kousuke." Reki turns to the other boy. "Shiro, this is Langa Hasegawa."

Shiro smiles as he walks over to the two of them, making Reki tense up.

"Reki, we're already late. We should go." Langa blurts out, tugging on Reki's arm at his sleeve. Reki relaxes, looking slightly up at Langa before turning back to Shiro.

"He's right, I've gotta go." Reki says, looking around for his skateboard. Shiro sees it behind Reki as he bends down beside him and grabs it. He stands back up as he glances at the design and smiles to himself.

"So, it's true. You're still skating." Shiro looks back up to Reki, with a soft look on his face.

"Of course I am. Why wouldn't I be?" Reki replies, relaxing his voice. Before Shiro can answer, Reki lets out an exasperated breath. "Never mind, we have to go. Like, now." He says, taking his board from Shiro's hands and Langa doesn't hesitate to collect his skateboard nearby. They drop their skateboards and set their feet to start going downhill.

"Wait!" Shiro calls almost in a yell, with Reki's backpack in hand. "Here."  As Shiro hands Reki's backpack to him,  their hands softly touch, sending immediate chills up Langa's spine. Reki swings it over his shoulder and motions to Langa as they skate away.

The ride to their school is almost silent, with only the sounds of the streets, their rolling skateboards, and on zippers on their backpacks bouncing on the slopes.

They jump off of their boards as they finally approach the gates and run into the building, only imagining the worst as arrival. They stop at their classroom and pant, out of breath. Langa looks at Reki and thinks of Shiro—the way Reki tensed up when he got too close, yet how easily he could loosen up around him. As Reki raises his hand to open the door, Langa grabs his wrist, delaying whatever awaits them inside.

"Reki, wait."

"What?" Reki turns to him, lowering his hand out of Langa's soft grasp. Langa bites his tongue, anxious at all of the attention that he practically demanded. "Seriously, Langa, what's up?"

Before Langa can let words come out of his mouth, the door slides open and Langa and Reki turned to see their teacher, red faced as always..

"You are both unbelievably late." He growls. Reki and Langa both bow their heads, facing the ground.
