~Y/N's POV~
I was sitting besides Haruto in a big table. We were currently in the middle of a very important business meeting to make a deal with a very well known and rich family.
Like usual, my parents were being the most fakest people to ever exist. "Very well then. I must say, your daughter has definitely gotten much taller from the last time I saw her, her beauty only seems to grow more and more as the time passes" the business man by the name of Richard says.
"Why of course, she is my daughter after all" father responds. "Well, we must get going, it was pleasure making a deal with you" Richard says, giving my father a handshake and leaving.
The moment he left the room, my mother walked up to me and slapped me. "It wouldn't have hurt if you smiled. You make this family seem like a joke"
She was about to hit me once more but Haruto stepped in, grabbing her wrist as it was a few inches away from my face.
"Mother, please refrain from hitting her, what would the others say if they saw a bruise on her" he says, glaring at them, I could tell he was trying his best to refrain himself from cussing them out.
"Of course my dear son, how perfect you are. Thinking of the outcome, you give this family such a great reputation my handsome child" she goes in to hug him, which he declined and pushed her away.
"Please do not ruffle my suit mother" "oh of course, I apologize" we walked out, my father and mother standing side by side behind Haruto, while I was walking in front of him.
If a person were to view us, they'd think we were a perfect family. Good looks, riches, and talented kids, what more could a family need.
Love, what this family needed was love. It lacked any sign of care. This family had many secrets, if found out by the public, it would completely ruin this family's reputation.
Like me and Haruto cared. We hated this, people would think we were spoiled but that was never the case. We still worked hard to get to where we are.
The root and base of this family was built off of dedication, hard work, and many more, but it lacked everything a loving family needed.
Our parents had taken the limo back home, whilst me and Haruto had decided to take a small walk.
"Onii-San... how can I be perfect like you?" "You are already good as is. You aren't the one who needs to become better. It's the world"
'The world, huh?' "Oh hey look" he points to a cat cafe. I look through the window and see the 6 other gifteds.
We walk in and join them. "Oh hey, didn't you guys have a meeting?" Kai says. "Yeah, it just finished. We decided to take a walk. Why are you guys here?" Haruto says, taking a seat on one of the empty chairs.
