~Y/N's POV~
I sat on my bed, doing my online schoolwork. Oh how much I wanted to go to real school.
(Opposite of me in real life. My social anxiety always kicks in and I end up wanting to die 😃)
I let out a long sigh. The other gifteds were busy, Miya and the others are at school/work, leaving me alone. I had already finished the schoolwork for __grade, I was just starting on the next grade level's work.
I hear a knock on the door, "come in" I say as I close my laptop. My mother walks in. "Hello sweetie" "Hello mother" She walked to my bed and sat on the edge.
"Sooo... you have a friend in the middle school?" She asks, grinning. I simply nod. "Then, I was wondering if you'd maybe like to try going to public school for a bit?"
I let out a small gasp. "Can you repeat that?" I ask, making sure I heard her right. "Well, I heard from Barbra that you stopped by to meet a friend, and I thought... maybe you'd like to temporarily go to school? It'll only be a week for safety reasons"
"I'd be happy to!" I sat up straight, excited. 'This sounds so fun!' "That's great! It'll start tomorrow on Tuesday and end on the next Wednesday" she says. She stood up, flattening her dress.
"The maid will bring your uniform and school stuff tomorrow morning, make sure to wake up at 6am to get ready. I have to go to a business trip for a week so I can't be here, but I hope you have fun"
"I will! Thank so so much!" I tackle her in a hug, which she replies with a chuckle. "If you ever feel like quitting, just tell me and I'll gladly talk with Barbra" she goes to leave my room but stop at the door.
"And if you need anything, just text or call me. Love you" and she left. I was so excited. 'I wonder how Miya will react to this news'
I had a hard time trying to sleep that night. I was simply too excited for my first time ever going to a public school. I ended up staying on FaceTime with Miya until I fell asleep.
I had told him the news, although he had a bland face the whole time, I saw how his lips slightly tugged up at the mention of me going to school for a week.

"M'lady please wake up" I feel someone lightly shake me. Groaning, I got up and rubbed my eyes. "M'lady, your uniform is on the vanity and your school bag is on your desk. Breakfast is ready in the dining table and your driver will be outside at 7:30 to bring you to school"
