The tickle monster

Chapter 19- "Can I sleep with you?"

After dinner, Lily was super full she burped up a storm after she ate her pizza. She walked back over to the couch where Ian was watching regular TV. Lily groaned a bit at the radioactive light. Ian noticed her turning her head away from the TV. "You tired?" She wanted to say yes, but being 12 years old meant that you had to be able to stay awake sometimes. So Lily said, "No...I'm not."

Ian smiled at the sleepy girl. "I'd tickle you, but I think you'd be too tired to laugh." He replied as he picked her up and turned off the TV. Lily moaned at his touch as Ian continued to her room. The room was still locked from the outside. Ian needed to change that. The girl was on her own for years. He had to get her something.

But he can think on that later. Christmas is 3 days away. He still has time. Ian looked at Lily who was trying to stay awake. It was so cute. "It's bed time little one. You can rest."

"I said....I'm not (yawn) sleepy." Lily tried to say as Ian placed her on her bed. He was about to turn off the light when Lily grabbed his hand. "Ian?" She asked as Ian looked at her with confusion. "Can I...(yawns) sleep with you?" The words were so sudden it almost made him fall backwards. He didn't know what to do. She was old enough to sleep on her own. But the sight of her. How beautiful she was even in her sleep.

Ian brushed his hand over her cheek. Those are your mother's dimples. He said to himself. He remembered the first time he saw her smile at him. Those dimples were so adorable. So Ian smiled back. "Of course." Ian said picking her up again and moving her to his room.

Ian's room was next to hers and his bed was simple. It was also enough for more than one person. Ian gently placed her on his bed and closed his door. "Comfy?" he asked as he saw Lily trying to take over all of the covers. She may be tired, but she still had one last ball of energy to diminish. And Ian was gonna help with that.

Ian smirked at her and slumped his weight on top of the 12 year old. "Wow, my bed is a lot lumpier than usual." he pretended to say as Lily giggled under the covers. Ian felt around the covers to search for Lily's feet. It was one spot that she hated. It wasn't her worst, but enough to diminish her energy for tomorrow. Conveniently, her feet happened to be uncovered. "Well what do you know, we have two feet sticking out." Ian replied as he grabbed the left one before she could cover them up. "Gotcha." he said as he scribbled his fingers all other her soles.

Lily started to giggle silently so she could cover her laughs. She hated being tickled on her feet. Ever since he did that, "This Little Piggy" game, she kept a close eye on her toes. But not tonight. Because she was that tired. And now she was gonna pay for it. "Hehehehehehehe."

"Is that giggling I hear?" Lily slammed her mouth shut. He heard her. "What if I do...this!" She heard Ian say as she felt him spider tickle his way to her-oh no. "Hahahahahahahahaha!" Her toes. He was tickling her toes. She couldn't hold it in anymore. Her laughter burst through the quiet house. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA NOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO STAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAP!" She pleaded her body still under the covers apart from her foot.

Ian stopped his tickling and decided to do one last thing before he and Lily hit the hay. He dug himself under the covers and surprised Lily by giving her little kissed on her cheek. Lily squealed and giggled at Ian's surprised greeting. "Ian nohohohohohoho." Lily tried to say as Ian still gave her a couple of more kisses and chuckled at her. "Ready for bed?" He asked as Lily nodded this time followed by a yawn. Ian turned off his light and yawned himself.

Before they closed there eyes, a sudden force plopped on the bed with them. Scarlett, the german shepard snuggled between the two of them as they both laughed. "Yes Scarlett you can sleep with us too." Ian said as he noticed Lily already asleep along with Scarlett. Ian fell asleep before his head even hit the pillow.
