You have 2 new messages from Izuku!

Izuku! (7:30 PM):
Em, are we still on for tonight?
just checking to make sure you still want to go, i know you're tired.

A long buzz coming from the counter where your phone sat took your attention from the steaming hot water running down your back. You peeked from behind the curtains, staring at the foggy screen, where you realized exactly who the text was coming from. Reaching out, you grabbed your phone as you were still in the shower and checked on it.

Emi (7:32 PM):
yeah, we're still on.
8:30?

Izuku! (7:33 PM:)
8:15
please
dying of boredom.

Emi (7:33 PM):
8:20.

Izuku! (7:35 PM):
fine, okay
you better be on the subway

Emi (7:39 PM):
getting ready. stop distracting me or i'll be there at 8:30

Izuku! (7:42 PM):
sorry, your highness,
get ready faster

You clicked the power button on your phone, turning it off  and placing it back in its designated spot as you turned the water off and stepped out of the shower. You weren't one to take an excruciatingly long amount of time getting ready, but today.. it was a special occasion, and you were certainly rushing to get ready.

After all, the one and only pro-hero Deku was waiting for you, and how could you make such a lovely, handsome man wait? Unlike you, Izuku Midoriya, one of your closest friends from UA, lived quite lavishly, meaning he didn't have to use public transportation as often as you did. You admired him greatly, he was smart, independent, and humble... very humble BUT- against all that, this man was rich as hell, a different level of
rich.

Fortunately, you mostly enjoyed taking the subway, seeing all the people. It was relaxing, and not only that but you could take a break from driving. Words could not describe how much you hated driving. That.. and the copious amounts of hospital bills you had to pay made you very much not wish to spend that extra money on gas.

You took a pause, staring at yourself in the mirror, scars littering your body from head to toe, covering a large amount of your skin, including a bit of your face.

You frowned.

You didn't hate what you saw- you were quite confident in your looks and charisma, but you weren't happy with just how many scars you had, as nobody would be, honestly... it was so overwhelming to look in the mirror sometimes.

And even through all that confidence you couldn't help but wonder if you would be more attractive without all the scarring.

When you and Izuku were little, he called them 'battle scars', and you never really told him this, but it was the corniest shit you had EVER heard. He was a corny person in general, but this- this was something that you could never take seriously.

These scars were even from fighting villains either- god you wished it was from that, but no- this was from your quirk. Hyalokinesis, that's what your quirk was called, the ability to take one's fibers from one's skin to create and manipulate glass in any way one wants. This was one powerful ass quirk. It was practically like having millions of sharp knives and daggers with you- it was a godsend. You could send shards of glass flying at someone, or even create small broken shards and blow them into people's eyes, you could create platforms, you name it. Either way- this quirk was genius.
