The Ndubz Reunion- Another Ndubz?

Chapter 7- (The new band)

The next morning Tula was woken by Lily bouncing on top of her. She was so excited to go into the studio- as any 7 year old would be!

'Mummy wake up!,' Lily shouted.

'I'm awake! What you so excited for muffin?' Tula asked whilst grabbing Lily and hugging her.

'Studioooo! I want to sing Mummy!' Lily laughed excitedly.

'Guess we best get ready then! Lets go wake Maisie up!,' Tula suggested.

Lily ran into Maisie's room and jumped onto her. Tula laughed.

'Lily.. What you doing?' Maisie said shocked.

'Gotta get up for the studio Maze!' Tulisa told her.

'But it's so early?' Maisie groaned.

'Tuff, i'm ya manager now.. get up!' Tula laughed.

'I'm not sure i like this manager thing!' Maisie laughed whilst hugging Lily.

Tula, Maisie and Lily all started to get ready. Tula put on her pink Lipsy tracksuit and trainers and placed her hair into a messy bun. Maisie also put on her pink and grey Nike tracksuit and placed her hair into a messy bun. Lily on the other hand was a little more girly and opted for a dress! 

'Well you're certainly related to me aint ya Maisie!' Tula laughed.

'Sure am!' Maisie laughed.

They all got into the car; Maisie, Lily, Gareth and Tula. Tula drove them to the studio.. Not forgetting the McDonald's breakfast they had on the way! When they arrived at the studio Tula helped Lily into a recording studio and allowed her to sing a song whilst she went and spoke to Maisie, Gino and Leo. Maisie, Tula and Gareth walked into the room where Gino and Leo were sat. They sat down and began to discuss buisness.

'So as i'm ya manager i guess it'd be wise to start by saying.. what you going to call yourself?' Tula asked.

'I think we should jot some ideas down,' Tula suggested.

'What about 'the best' cos we are!' Gino laughed.

'You're just like ya dad you Gino,' Tula laughed.

'We need a name that means something though.. Just like Ndubz meant NW1,' Maisie told them sternly.

'Alright chill Maze,' Gino said.

'Shut it!' Maisie replied.

'This is gunna be fun T.. Just like you and Dappy these two are!' Gareth laughed.

'Oh you can sure tell we're related!' Tula laughed back.

'We don't want something linked to N-Dubz because people will think we're just some tribute act, sorry auntie T!' Leo told them.

'It's fine babe, you're right. You need to think of something linked to yourself, be orginial,' Tulisa suggested.

The discussion continued for the next hour. There were little arguments and a few agreements. They reminded Tula of the N-Dubz days when they were trying to make it.  They finally came up with a name for their band.

'So we're all agreed then, the band will be called Sky's the Limit, or STL for short?' Tula asked.

'Yep,' replied Gino.

'Deffo,' replied Leo.

'Maze? What about you?' Tula asked.

'Ye i agree,' Maisie replied.

Gino, Leo and Maisie all went off into different booths to start writing lyrics. Tula was worried about Maisie as she didn't seem herself during the meeting. She decided to ask for Gareth's opinion.

'G. Did you notice how Maisie wasn't concentrating then? It's as if she was somewhere else,' Tula said.

'I did T, it was strange! You should go talk to her,' Gareth suggested.

Tula walked into the booth where Maisie was writing lyrics to find her staring out the window.

'Maze, is everything alright babe?' Tula asked.

Maisie turned around in shock. She didn't realise Tula was stood there.

'Wow.. you scared me. I guess i'm alright ye. Just taking a break to think,' Maisie answered.

'Come on maze. I'm your mum, i know there's something up!' Tula told her.

'Can't hide anything from you can i!' Maisie laughed.

'Nope, so come on tell me babe,' Tula said whilst sitting down next to Maisie.

'Well.. It's just hard Mum. I never thought id be thinking of a band name. I guess i just felt out of place, like i didn't belong there. Then i felt someone there with me, telling me that everything will work out,' Maisie said softly.

'Who do you think it was?' Tula asked.

'Uncle B. I think he was there with me Mum. He was there telling me not to be scared and that everything will be ok. I really wish i could have met him, he seems amazing. Just like you,' Maisie said with tears in her eyes.

'Come here babe,' Tula said whilst hugging Maisie.

'I felt him too Maisie. Telling me i can do this, just like when i was 11. Telling me it's ok if i feel like i'm replacing him. I've been worried too Maisie, thinking how can i take on Uncle B's role? It's scary, but we've got to do it for him!' said Tula softly. 

'I guess you're right. I've wrote my section of a song. Are the boys ready?' Maisie asked.

'They are, shall we go get them?' Tula asked.

'Yep, I'm scared Mum,' Maisie replied.

'Don't be.. Everything will be fine, I love you,' Tula told her whilst hugging her.

Tula and Maisie got up and walked into the room where the boys sat waiting for Maisie. They agreed Maisie would sing her section first. Maisie began to sing.

Would the boys like her section? Would their song fit together? Would their manager like it? Would STL make it? Would they make Uncle B proud?

(Sky's the limit is a tempory name as I can't decide on a good one, please feel free to leave suggestions :) )
