summary:
Dream lifts the mask up slightly, showing his smirk to the room.
"Say hi to Dream for me," and with that, the sword pushes through the blonde man's stomach. The mask is ripped away, clattering to the floor. They are met with deep purple eyes that quickly fade to a dull green, so fast that if you blink you missed it.
Or: Tommy forces Dream to remove his mask at the final confrontation. But is it really Dream?
tw // blood and descriptions of violence mainly :)

"Dream, put your items in the hole," The child smirks at him.
The older blonde gives in, eager to see where this game will end up. Dream hastily removes his armour, dumping it alongside his other belongings and placing it in the hole. He smiles at it for a moment, unbeknownst to everyone else in the room, however. Dream brushes imaginary dust off his clothes, readjusting his mask as Tommy jumps down the hole to claim his things. An interesting move, but not one that would ruin the game. Tommy equips Dream's armour, marvelling as the flow of powerful enchantments fill his bloodstream, something he would only feel from wearing the admin's armour. Dream had placed custom enchants on there, something Tommy only just found out. Dream played this game to win; he didn't play fair.
Tommy looks at Dream, the tension of the room slowly building. The older blonde refuses to hide away at the glares however, standing firm and seemingly unaffected. Tommy stares, and Dream stares back, albeit behind glossy black dots for eyes. Tommy looks to be thinking about something, probably what to do now. After a few more moments, Dream grows impatient, fed up with this. This game was becoming dull and he wasn't about to participate in that case. It was time to help Tommy out since he clearly doesn't know how to run this game.
"Well, Tommy? What now, you gonna kill me?" Dream made sure the smirk was insanely evident as he spoke, wishing to push the game along a bit. He wants to get this reaction from the younger and taunting him always does the trick. Tommy just stares back, somehow surprised that Dream is still this snarky and arrogant, even in weakness. Dream scans over his face, taking in every single detail and analysing it. This is something he's gotten ridiculously good at; studying people's body language and facial expressions. This was how the blonde can see something akin to slyness on the others face, and a twinge of anxiety courses through Dream.
"Dream, I said, put everything in the hole. And that," Tommy gestures to Dream's face, "Is not everything."
Dream audibly gulps, calculating a way to get out of this mess. He's smart, and he knows for a fact he can't get out of this. Without moving his head, and quickly scans over the group behind the teenager, confirming his lack of escape. He wouldn't even be able to pull up his admin panel in time to teleport away before Sapnap drove an axe through his neck. His former best friend looks ready to kill him at any moment. Oh, how far we've come. Dream sighs silently.
If he can't escape, he may as well go down with a bang. He observes Tommy's movements closely. The young blonde has his posture straightened, making himself look taller and more confident; however, he knew this was all a front because of how long he'd spent with the teen. He examines how the younger holds the diamond sword in front of him, a slight shake in his hands. It's barely visible to an average human; however, Dream was no average human. Dream smiles. Yeah, he can work with that.
"No," Dream says, keeping his voice neutral. He needed Tommy to get angry. He takes extra care into making his voice sound as bored and confident as possible. He wants the younger to think he's won. The younger clenches his fists tightly, and Dream smirks. "Tommy, you know what I think? You won't kill me,"
