The Interview

As my team finished up my hair and makeup, my phone buzzed. It was a text from Victoria, my girlfriend.
"I love you! Good luck in your interview! 😘"
I shot her a quick text in response and began putting my shoes on.
I was asked to be on The Tonight Show after starring in a new movie with my girlfriend. The thing is, nobody knows about us and Victoria would rather keep this private. It's not that she's embarrassed to be with me, she just likes to keep her private life well private. And I of course understand that.

After a few minutes of waiting, I hear a knock at my dressing room door.
"Hey Y/N, you're on in 2 minutes."
I nod to the employee and smooth down my clothes as I head out. You imagine what I'm wearing. ;)

"Now let's give a warm welcome to the lovely Y/F/N Y/L/N!"
I run out to meet Jimmy and greet him with a hug. As I sit down in the closet chair to him, I look around at the crowd and see all the adoring fans.
"So! How are you? How's everything?", Jimmy asks.
"Everything is all good! Thanks for asking Jimmy!", I give him a warm smile.
"That's very good to hear. Alrighty, let's get right into it. So I hear that you're in a new movie with none other than Victoria Pedretti.", as he says the last lines, he pulls out a mini copy of the new movie poster.
"Why, yes I am!.. Oh wow, look at that, little old me!", you laugh as he shows the audience the movie poster.

After talking about the movie, watching the trailer, and getting a sneak peek, the real questions begin.
"Alright Y/N, so you've probably heard the rumors by now and know that we have to talk about them.", Jimmy starts saying with a serious tone as he leans forward, putting a hand on his chin.
"What about Mr. Fallon?", I say as I copy his moves.
"Oh just the spiraling rumors of how you and Victoria are possibly going out."
I try to contain my exposure as he says this. I had a feeling this topic was going to be brought up, but hoped not. I hated when people asked me these questions. I'm not the type of person that likes to lie. So I just shoot out a quick and unquestionable answer.
"This happens with every celebrity Jimmy! Of course me and Victoria aren't dating. It is what it is... a rumor.", I quickly say crossing my legs as I said it.
Jimmy gives me a side eye as he faces the audience.
"You know that's what they all say Y/N.", he says giving me and the audience a smirk.
I giggle and put my hands up in a 'welp' position.

As the interview goes on, me and Jimmy play a few mini games like he does with all his guests. Then after an hour or two of meeting fans, the interview is over and I'm headed home.

As I open the door to my home, I hear someone scurrying inside. It's Victoria trying to find a wine glass. After a few seconds she finds one and looks back and sees me. She quickly gives me a loving smile, which I can't help and reciprocate.
"Baby! How was it? I missed you today.", she says walking over to me, giving me a quick peck.

I tell her all about the interview, all the details. After every interview we have, we have thing where we tel each other everything that happened. It's my favorite part of the whole process actually. Especially the interviews where we have to dodge the questions about us dating. It's kind of thrilling. She's thrilling.
