He peered over his shoulder expressionlessly.
"Mr. England is on his way... I know it's New Years but you know he doesn't like firecrackers." Looking out the window you could see him approaching.
Your boss picked up a box. "I know..... hold this." He handed you the box and grabbed another, then led you to the front. Where he kicked them open then dropped a match in both.
"____?"
"Yes?"
He grabbed your hand and rushed away "Happy New Year."
The firecrackers sounded from behind you. England let out a panicked noise.
You giggled, "Happy New Year sir."

Info: When ruled by England, Hong Kong lit things such as firecrackers during celebrations. The English however did no such thing and were often alarmed when hearing the cracks and loud pops.
