“Kyle, are you alright?” I asked again as he fell to the ground. His face was pale as his blood drained out from his side. I looked deep into his now dull dying eyes. “Kyle you can’t leave us!” I yelled as my tears began to fall. “You have to save these kids!” I again yelled as I pulled his limp body into my lap.

He looked back up at me, “Sassah it’s your job now.” He said in-between what looked like painful breaths. Tears began to stream down his face as we both knew he just had minutes to live. “I don’t want to die.” He cried. He was gripping his waist in pain. I looked at the damage slowly I placed my hand over his. His warm blood running through my fingers I looked back into his eyes. “Sassah you’ll protect the kids right?”

“Yes, I’ll do everything in my power to protect those kids. I won’t let you down!” I cried as my tears dripped down on to chest, staining his already blood stained t-shirt. “You can’t leave me here!” My head began to hurt with all this crying.

“I’m not leaving you…” He paused to catch his breath. “I’ll always be right here,” Kyle said as he lightly placed his hand against my chest, over my heart. “I have to go, my brother’s waiting.” He said with a smile. Slowly his eyes began to close… Close for the last time, forever. His breathing finally stopped. I slowly moved him from my lap and onto the ground. I did what I did with Mr. Portorf and Kim. I placed his hands a crossed his chest and prayed a little prayer before I got up and slowly made my way back to the room with the kids.

Ross automatically knew it was me because before I could knock he opened the door. By the dejected expression etched on his face he knew something was wrong. I didn’t want to talk about it, but then again Ross didn’t want to talk about his feelings either but he did and it did make him feel better. “Ross can we talk?” I asked shutting the door behind me.

“Yeah.” Ross replied as we walked to the back of the room just in-front of the closet door. “What’s up?” He asked as he sat down on the ground.

I couldn’t think of any other way to put this nicely but I had to tell him somehow. “Kyle’s dead.” I said bluntly as I began to cry. I buried my face into Ross’s shoulder hiding my face. I wrapped my arms around Ross’s back and tightly hugged him. I need someone to give me comfort and so far Ross was pretty good at it. I felt his hand rise and run through my hair,

“I know I could hear you screaming.” He said as he hugged my back. As he began to cry, I remembered about the window in room 61898.

Jumping up to my feet I almost yelled “I know how we can get these kids out of here!” I took Ross’s hand and pulled him into the closet were the other kids sat quietly. “Okay we are going to get you guys out of here, but you have to be quiet. Okay?” I asked the kids. “There is a room with a window that is big enough to fit all you through. But you have to be quiet in the hallways okay?” I stated as I walked out of the closet and behind the teacher’s desk grabbing the last two guns the lay hidden underneath files.

“Okay Ross you take this,” I said as I tossed a gun towards Ross. Ross catching it in midair “You know how to shoot it right?” I asked Ross nodded his head. “You stay in the back and I’ll be in the front of the group of kids.” I turned to face the kids, “You guys close eyes don’t open them unless I tell you to, and hold hands. Do not let go.” I demanded the kids doing exactly as I asked. “Okay here we go.” I grabbed the first kids hand and began to lead them out of the classroom.

I quickly walked down the hallway my eyes flickering back in forth from the hallway in front of me and the sings that hung above the door. Without warning a gunman stepped in to full view. Without giving him a chance to eve notice the kids and I, I pulled the trigger sending the bullet straight into the back of his head. I felt the, frighten, young children jump behind me.
