“I thought it’d be cooler, down here in November,” Harry moaned, lounging on the couch in the break room, his feet propped up on the Dale head that stared back with its cold blank stare.
Niall snorted from where he was sprawled out on the ground, face just inches away from the fan that was blowing full blast in the stuffy room, filled with fur characters who were trying to cool off best they could in their hour break, before being dragged off to their respective jobs in the park.
“You know who I want to be,” Niall declared, lazily pointing a finger straight up in the air, “Arial. Karen is so lucky, like, all she has to wear are two fucking seashells and a tail.”
“It’s degrading,” Carla, one of the Minnie Mouses, shot back and Niall snorted, shaking his head.
“I wouldn’t give a shit, I’d walk around in it-“
“You’re boobs are too big for the shells’” Carla snapped and Harry laughed, propping himself up on his elbows and reaching out for a high five, as Carla skipped out of the room, leaving Niall sulking next to the fan.
The Irish boy lifted up his shirt, peaking underneath before sighing and shrugging, “Fuck that mate. You ready for campfire?”
Harry glanced down at his watch and groaned, realizing their break was over. He slowly pushed himself up off the couch and reached for the fur suit he had stripped out of only an hour before. It was still damp, from his sweat, and he sighed in disgust before slipping on the head as well.
“Damn mate,” Harry’s voice was muffled by the oversized head, as he toddled after Niall, through the tunnels system of Disney World, to their campfire, “I don’t know if I can do this anymore.”
“Well,” Niall’s own voice was muffled, barely audible, “Louis keeps insisting they’re close to ending the strike. So you might not get to much longer.”
Harry bit his lip, hidden by the oversize character head, and faked an enthusiastic cheer. He knew Niall was broken up at the idea, having to leave the Disney Magic, and his boyfriend.
And Harry was too. He just couldn’t show it.
When they arrived to their ‘camping ground’ Niall took a seat on one of the wooden logs, surrounding a fake fire, and Harry sat on the other log, taking a deep breath and trying to calm down the stirring of his stomach that had started with the thought of having to leave everything Disney behind. Everything Disney, including Louis.
When their character handler came in, leading in the first group of children and parents, he still hadn’t quite gotten a grip on himself. However, Louis suddenly popping up, a young child gripping each of his hands instantly calmed his unsettled stomach.
“Louis,” he breathed out, quietly, before he remembered he was currently an overgrown chipmunk, not able to talk. Instead he jumped up to his feet and waved enthusiastically at the little girls, who clung closer to Lou, as they approached the campfire.
Louis grinned brightly and pulled the twins over to where Harry was waving. Harry bent down to their level, and cocked his head comically, putting on his best show to impress Louis’ little sisters.
“Daisy, can you say hello?” Louis asked, and one of the blonde girls took a tentative step forward, letting her hand drop from Louis’. She held out her hand and Harry opened his arms wide, enveloping the girl in a hug, and opening his arms wider when her identical twin found the courage to give the chipmunk a big hug.
Niall suddenly appeared next to them, and Louis quickly arranged them in what he deemed an acceptable pose, taking a picture on his phone before sending the girls off to sit with Niall.
