After leaving the medic I went straight to Chrissy. I knew that I needed to tell her about all that I have seen the past few days, I couldn't keep hiding secrets.
I eventually found Christina and Cal alone in the principia. She was saying some sort of prayer and then a loud bit of thunder rumbled in the sky. Right next to Christina, Cal flinched, a tattoo burning into his forearm. Now he had the markings that a praetor had. The letter's SPQR, seven lines and a compass crossed with a staff and a dot. The symbols of Hecate and Pluto. I stood in the doorway for sometime before I decided to say anything.
"Hey guys." I was practically whispering but Cal visibly jumped.
"Nora! Are you feeling better?" His face was clenched, and he held his arm which now had new tattoos.
"Are you ok?" I asked. "That looks kinda painful."
"Um-" He cleared his throat, "Yes, I am fine. It isn't really painful once you get used to it." He stood up a bit straighter.
I looked past him to Christina, "Chrissy, I need to talk with you both, if now is a good time."
Her eyebrows furrowed, showing just how worried she really was."Let's all head to my quarters." She said firmly.
After taking a quick detour to grab some lunch we arrived in Christina's room. I walked in and sat on her bed, which for some reason, was way larger than mine. Chrissy sat at her desk, and Cal just stood in the middle of the room, looking much more uncomfortable than he should have.
"Cal," I invited, " You can sit on the bed as well if you would like."
He just nodded but stayed standing up.
Christina cleared her throat, bringing me back to focus on what I came here to talk to them about.
"Chrissy, and um Cal too, I had more to my vision than I told you all the other day." I admitted. "And I just had another vision while I was in the theater. . ."
Christina gave me a stern look and said: "Spill."
I explained my first vision to them. Seeing Christina on the dias with a new praetor next to her, and then I told them about the three demigods racing away from dark blobs in a black SUV. I then explained that while Daphne was throwing a tantrum, I blacked out and saw a hospital with doctors rushing around and people coughing and dying.
I couldn't bring myself to retell what happened in my nightmare. The screams in Tartarus still hadn't left my mind and the smell of acid and fire hadn't cleared from my senses. I looked up from my feet to see Christina's face which was in a deep frown, "Something bad is about to happen, and I think that a quest is going to be sent out soon." I continued.
She looked to Cal, "Nora," Christina took a deep breath, she was shaking but gripped the table next to her to support herself. "There is something that we haven't told anyone in camp yet." Her face looked grim. "There is a horrible disease outside of camp, and we can't send anyone outside of camp or they might bring it to us."
Cal looked out toward the window, "There is also a food shortage, and we do need to find out why. So a quest, if we find a way to keep the people safe, would be a good idea."
Christina rubbed her hand on her head.
"Why should we risk sending out my campers? They could get really sick."
"You mean our campers?" Cal shot back, earning a glare from Christina. "I care about their safety too Christina, but we can't just sit here and wait for someone else to figure it out! Chris, that is not what Camp Jupiter stands for. There might be a bigger problem than just some sickness. We have to figure it out so it doesn't get worse and possibly infiltrate our camp. We need to take action an-"
