"Pull 'er up, men!" The Captain yelled to the crew on his boat. A large group of men worked together to pull up the large net from the water as the Captain retreated to the helm. "Cap-Captain, sir!" A crew member yelled as he ran into the helm. "The net! We caught- We caught a person! A man!" The man yelled and the Captain walked out to the main deck. "That's no man sailor." The Captain said, his eyes widening.

"What is it Captain?" Another male asked. "This, men, is a siren." He answered as he awed at the snarling half-fish male.

"I never thought you'd be asking for my help on something like this. Are you sure I should be here?" A small blue haired male asked his taller friend. "Of course, Nagisa. Besides, what's a good case without your best friend to help you?" His red haired friend asked, the shorter male nodded. "You're right Karma, I'm overthinking this." The blue haired male said as the two walked towards the ship Captain.

"Why did you bring a kid?" The large male asked. "We're the same age!" The shorter male said, almost yelling. "Yeah, this is my old buddy Nagisa. He's going to be helping me with the case." The red haired male explained. "If you say so, follow me. I'll show you it." The Captain said, walking with the two men following him. He walked into a large room with a large box looking shape covered by a large red cloth.

The large box obviously had water inside, and you could hear something moving around in the water, but what was in the water was completely unknown to the Nagisa and Karma. The Captain was about to take off the large cloth before a few loud pounds boomed off the clear box and through the large room. The loud pounding caused the cloth to move and shift off of the large box.

Inside the clear, water filled box was a male with long dark blue hair that floated at his sides and a large scaled tail. He moved through the water quickly, suddenly shooting towards the side of the box facing the three men, slamming against it in an attempt to break through. "It can try all day, but this is the thickest acrylic box you'll ever see in a lifetime. It's not getting through anytime soon." The Captain said.

"Keep talking stupid human. I'll prove you wrong in a few seconds." The half-fish male thought. He hit the acrylic box again, the Captain walking over and hitting the glass as well. "Quit making such a ruckus, you dumb fish!" The Captain yelled, making the boxed in male glared at him. "I'm goin' outside for a smoke break. You boys watch it in case it gets any bright ideas." The Captain said, walking out of the large structure.

"Finally." The scaly male thought as he moved back to the edge of the box. "Karma, is that what I think it is?" The blue haired male asked his taller friend. "Seems so, I always thought they were just a silly folktale that adults told to kids to give them some imagination. But if you're thinking what I'm thinking, then this is supposedly a merman." The red haired male said as he walked over to the box.

"Karma wait! Don't get so close to it, who knows what that thing can do!" Nagisa yelled as he ran after his friend. "That old Captain said that this box is so thick, the guy won't have a chance of breaking it. If he's right, then it should be fine." Karma smirked as he continued walking towards the box. "Now what are you doing?" The red head asked, receiving no response from the male in the tank.

The half-fish suddenly went shooting forward, shattering the clear wall of acrylic on impact, causing the two males to jump back just in time to avoid any shards of the acrylic wall. The scaled man sat on the ground, surrounded by shards of the clear tank wall.

"Looks like the old man was wrong

"Looks like the old man was wrong." The red haired investigator noted. The half-fish male hissed as he tried to crawl away, his upper body was covered in cuts that were beginning to bleed quite a bit. A loud banging was heard from the metal door to the large building, the tank breaking had sent vibrations through the structure and caused a large and heavy box to fall in front of the door.

The two males were about to move the large object before a voice echoed through the large room. "Wait! Don't let him in!" The scaled male yelled. "So you can talk." The red head grinned. "Why should we listen to you. We have no idea what you could possibly be up too. You could want to kill us and we wouldn't know until you tried." The male said. "That old man was going to sell me to other humans to dissect me and try to find the others like me." The merman explained.

"He wants to use me and the other merfolk like me to gain your human currency. I hate to ask this of you humans, but please, help me." He finished. "Alright then. Nagisa, grab that cloth." The red head said, clapping his hands. "Oh! R-Right!" The blue haired male said as he ran over and grabbed the red cloth sitting on the ground. The male laid the cloth down as his friend walked over.

"You get his legs—er-tail, and I'll get his arms." The red head said as he scooped his arms under the scaled male's. "What are you doing?" The half-fish asked as the two set him down on the cloth. "What does it look like? We're going to hide you." The red head said as he lifted the red cloth with Nagisa. The two set him in an opened box, setting him inside and making sure you couldn't see him.

"Now don't move or he'll notice you." The red head grinned and ran back to the door with his shorter friend, moving the large box in front of the door. "About time you boys moved that bloody box." The Captain said as he walked inside. "Yeah, we've got some bad news for you sir." Nagisa said. "Well? Spit it out boy." The old man said. "That "siren" you were talking about? Yeah, it broke out and disappeared." Karma lied.

"What?!" The Captain yelled. "I'm putting this in you to find that thing!" The Captain yelled as he grabbed the red heads collar, bringing him down to his height. "I'll do my best Captain." The investigator grinned.
