I sat at one of the tables outside of my favorite cafe, drinking my favorite drink, Affogato. I brought the rim of the cup to my lips. "Come here often?" I looked up to see Mr. Kyle staring down at me. "Yeah, it's my favorite place to come on Fridays when we don't have work." I replied, taking another sip. "Can I sit?" I nodded. I could feel his eyes on me as my eyes watched people walk from left to right. "You are beautiful." "Don't start with the flirting, Mr. Kyle." I warned, taking another sip of my drink. "Just giving a pretty girl a compliment." I rolled my eyes. "Maybe this pretty girl doesn't want your compliments." I thought that would've dented that smile of his but no.
It just widened. "Be real with me. Why me?" I asked, fully turning to face him. "Why not you? Any guy would be lucky to even be able to be with you. Hell talk to you." Mr. Kyle said. "I'm not special, Mr. Kyle. Just like everyone else." He reached out to touch my hand. "You're something else." I could see the lust and admiration in his eyes as he looked at me. "I bet you say that to every girl." I said. "I've only said it to you." "Sure you have."
