It was a well kept secret that Keisuke's blonde locks were not natural. Yes, he did in fact dye his hair to that oh so delicious looking honey shade. The task of regularly maintaining it was an entire laboring process in itself. A process that Keisuke's girlfriend, y/n, was just taking on for the first time. Ryosuke usually dyed Keisuke's hair for him, just using some regular old boxed dye from the store. But now that Keisuke and y/n were fully living together, it was her turn to become the stylist.

It had been a few months since Keisuke had last bleached his hair, he had been letting it grow out for a little while. His hair wasn't the healthiest, spiking it up every day certainly didn't help that fact either. It had finally reached the point where you could see his natural color starting to poke through, his roots were calling out to him. They were just begging to be dyed again. Y/n didn't mind Keisuke's grown out roots, she couldn't care less about what color his hair was- however, she did admire the blonde. It was what had caught her eye when they first met, that and his deep blue eyes. She could go on and on about how perfect her boyfriend was, she still didn't know how she had won such a jackpot of a man. Keisuke could also say the same about her though.

"Are you sure this is the right color Kei? I dont want to screw this up." The anxious girl spoke down to the man patiently sitting on the floor in front of her.

"I think so? I'm pretty sure that's the brand aniki buys." Keisuke shrugged his shoulders, the bath towel that was draped around him was slowly sliding down his back.

"You think so?! C'mon Kei, did you at least ask Ryosuke before you decided you wanted to do this?" Y/n lightly giggled, her boyfriend could either act like the smartest or the stupidest person in the world. And right now, his clueless slide was shining through.

"Well... not exactly... no." He shrugged his shoulders again, the bath towel now falling down to the floor as it slipped off his back.

The towel was in shambles, quite literally being held together by threads. There were discolored stains all over it and the edges were severely frayed. This made it perfect for the project they were taking on. It didn't really matter if it got ruined- they knew things were going to get messy and didn't want to take any chances with the dye.

She shook her head, giggling again before turning her attention to the box of dye. The front of the box had a picture of a woman with long blonde hair on it. It looked like the hair color was just drawn on, the small portrait failing to show the realism of the shade. Who knew how it would turn out looking on Keisuke? There was only one way to find out.

"Chestnut blonde." Y/n began reading the script that was written on the box out loud. "Long lasting color, guaranteed 15 washes." Her voice was becoming animated as she continued to read out the information on the box. She sounded like one of those commercial narrators, attempting to sell their product as the best on the market- when in reality they were all plain shitty.

Keisuke jokingly rolled his eyes at y/n's antics. "I get it babe, next time I promise that I won't just pick up the first blonde color I see off of the shelf."

"Hey, if you don't end up liking the color you cant blame it on me." She lightly kicked his back. Keisuke was facing away from y/n on the tiled floor of their shared bathroom, while she was sitting on the marble countertop of the sink.

"The only person who needs to like the color is you, y/n." He looked over his shoulder to the girl who was sitting above him with a smile.

Her face was painted with a rosy pink blush, which complemented her h/c hair and e/c eyes well. Keisuke loved y/n's hair, if she ever wanted to dye it he didn't know what he would do. The obvious and correct choice would be to let her do it, but he just loved the way it's h/c color glistened in the sun. Keisuke couldn't bear to see it go, but luckily he was the one in the salon chair today rather than y/n.
