Chapter 8

Aelin~

Rowan and I decided that we would head back to Terrasan the next day as much as I loved it here with my newfound family I had responsibilities and a oath to uphold.

As much as Rhys wished I would never go back to being a carefree child I had endured to much for that, but despite my horrors I stayed strong and I was't going to break for anyone.

Now came the hard part Rowan and I were on our way to breakfast with the rest of the court to break the news that we would be leaving later that day and I had a feeling that it would not go over well.

We sat and made small talk until the full court was there I stood up "Rowan and I will be returning to Terrasan at night fall as much as we have loved staying with you, we have a kingdom to run and I need to get back before Manon can slaughter my citizens" I say with a chuckle.

I see Rhys start to argue but Mor gives him one glare and he shrinks back into his chair like a puppy "I will leave instructions on how to get to my world and I hope you will visit us there and we will visit you" I tell them.

"Besides Rhys you have a cousin you need to meet" I say with a knowing glance at Rowan he chokes on his food "please no" he begs 'whats the matter" Rhys asks Rowan "Aedion is reckless enough with one cousin he does not need another partner in crime" he explains.

"I think its a lovely idea and if anything he needs to meet his unborn niece or nephew" I say smirking Rowan groans but stays silent.

We all hung out for the rest of the day, Mor and I went out shopping while the boys played go fish.

When the time finally came to part, Rhys seemed upset that I was leaving but he had come to terms that I was no longer a child with no responsibility and that I had a duty to the crown to uphold so he just hugged me and whispered a promise of a visit in my ear. 

"At least one of the human ambassadors are coming after dinner so I will have something to take my mind off of you leaving" he taunts "I don't know what you'll do with out me now that you've had a taste of my awesomeness" I fire back.

Before things can get too heated Rowan pulls me away "its time to leave fireheart" he tells me so I make a cut on my arm and draw the wyrd marks on the ground as the portal opens up around us I wave to the court one last time then their gone. 

It's the same as last time the floor leaves my feet and the wind runs through my hair then I'm back in the library of Oryth where everything started. 

And that is the end of part one, part two will be in the same book because I hate having to go to someones profile to find the sequel I'm just going to take a quick break so I can stock up on chapters.
