You were a freelance ghost hunter, or at least, you just like going to spooky places. You had nothing else to do and they make great videos. Even though most of the places you went had nothing-
But this next place might be the one. It was rumored to have odd paranormal activity like screams during therapy sessions, patients acting odd, ghosts, the whole package. You didn't need any appointments and you didn't want to spend tons of money, so you opted to sneak in with a friend. They were about to go there anyway and the both of you had a plan.
They would go in and insist on dragging you along because it was required due to anxiety and having a friend would make things easier. If a doctor's note was needed, your friend could easily forge a signature :)
Once you were in, your friend went into a room while you quickly left to snoop around. They somehow got the CEO of the company or something. But you had other things to look for.
The place was fairly normal, it had an odd color scheme, but still normal so far. There were no other workers in sight, which was weird since this was supposed to be a business. After a few minutes of looking around you discovered a locked door with no label. You did what any pro gamer would do, pick the lock. It opened to a set of stairs that led down into an ominous void. Any sane person would leave, but you took out your camera and went in. Even if there wasn't anything down there, people still find it interesting to explore places like this from the saftey of their room. After a while you reached the bottom and felt for a light switch. Damn, there didn't seem to be one. Looks like you were going to have to rely on the camera light. You continued to talk for the video as you looked around. The basement contained normal stuff like boxes and old stuff.
"Hey" whispered something causing you to nearly scream. You looked around.
   "...over here..."
You turned to a corner to see an odd creature waay taller than you. It looked like its face was melted off.
Holy crap the people will flip if this gets on camera! Hopefully. But you were fucking creeped out. This was your first time encountering something like this. What if it harms you? oh god-
     "...I won't...hurt...you.." It rasped," I...need to warn...you...to save...your..friend."
    "Ok, what is it?"
"Its about....him..."
It told you about how it ended up like this and that no one really worked in this place. Only Albert Krueger who was acutally a dream eater that either killed or recruited his clients. Before you left to get your friend it stopped you and gave you something.
   "Whats this?"
"...its to help..with escape...." It said as it began to fade," thank you....for listening..."
You pocketed the thing and ran back. You hoped that it wasn't too late for your friend. Stopping to catch your breath, you composed yourself and yeeted open the door.
  "Y/n?"
You laughed and greeted your friend as if you totally didn't see a ghost.
"Heeyyy something REALLY important has came up and we really gotta go like now. Now would be great you know." You said as you grabbed their arm and tugged them towards the door. They seemed to get the message.
"Ohhh I get it, hey sorry but I got to leave earlier than expected byeee!"
  But the door shut.
"Sorry but isn't it a bit rude to barge in and pull my client away with some unknown reason?"
You looked to your friend who was great at making up excuses.
"Uhh, I nearly forgot that we got aaaaa plane to catch! Yeah, now I remember, we really got to gooo- oh god."
Was it me or did the atmosphere get darker?
"It seems like you also forget that therapists are good at seeing through lies and emotions." Albert said with a smile," your friend saw something that they weren't supposed to see, didn't they?"
Your friend got worried while you internally panicked. He sighed and got up," Looks like one of my dream eaters tried to break free again...oh well I'll deal with them later. But as for you two," Was he glitching?
"You'll all have to die. What a shame, your friend was about to join my army." He then summoned a dream eater to attack.
You grabbed for the item that you obtained earlier and threw it while you unlocked the door.
The creature grabbed it and stared as it ticked. It realized that it was a bomb but was too slow to drop it and it exploded. The force was enough to blow up the floor beneath Albert and the creature.
Luckily, you and your friend got out in time and ran home. Hey, you didn't know that ghosts were good at making bombs. Your video skyrocketed in veiws and reveiws. Even the local ghost hunters went nuts and flocked to the now wrecked building. Yeah, it turns out that it blew the building in half.
Pog, you ended that mans career B)
He then went on to beg Vincent to let him live in his mansion while he recovers. But of course Vincent said no and fled to KFC to hide.
