Johnson POV: Thalia had just pretty much made fun of herself outside pretending that she could control the winds, and since she couldn't really control it when Jason was pretending the she could, she went a little too high and started screaming like crazy.
I'd never seen Thalia like that, and then again I've never really seen Thalia a lot of times before. So now it was her turn and she immediately turned to me, the first person who was laughing at her when she was starting it.
"Johnson, truth or dare?" She asked calmly, though there was a faint quavering in her voice as well as an evil tone.
"Well, I guess dare." whenever somebody plays this game, they don't have a ton of choices on what to do, and pretty much everything has you make fun of yourself.
She thought about if for a moment. "I dare you to go into the forges during dinner, when there is no one there, and sabotage the furnaces, creations, swords, everything."
"Pft, that's so easy! I can do that in my sleep. I will do this dare."
Pretty much like it heard Thalia, the conch horn signaling dinner rung out through the valley, vibrating the cabin slightly and leaving a ringing in my ears. I never really liked how loud that thing was.
"It's time for the sabotage!" She said gleefully.
We all made our way out of the cabin, everyone else going to the dining pavilion, though I headed towards the forges with some tools that I picked up from the Hermes cabin.
When I got there, I opened the door slightly and looked inside to check if no one was there, and to my surprise it was actually empty. Those kids must work up an appetite banging metal against metal all day.
The first thing I did was stop the furnaces. They were still ongoing, though they had closed the metal door on them to make it fire-safe. I went around and poured a lot of water down each one until they were all out, so it was deathly quiet.
Then I destroyed the creations. It was quite easy to do, actually. All I had to do was find the control panel on each of them, and when I did just uprooted as many wires as possible.
For the swords, it was a bit more difficult. They were really strong, so I couldn't really smash them out of shape. I tried a lot, but the only thing that really worked was relighting a furnace, stuffing everything in there, and having it all melt into liquid celestial bronze.
Also, that stuff is lethal, and I had no idea until after it dripped on my arm. Of course, first came the initial heat, which was about 400 degrees, and so it immediately burned like crazy, way worse than when that shark bit off my fingers.
I poured all the rest of water on my arm, and it washed away the celestial bronze and cooled down my arm a lot, but I could see some of the skin had burned away and the area around it was red.
Then I started to make my way back to the cabins, thinking I could just walk it off. But, while I wasn't looking, something happened, and the effect reached my brain. My mouth got a metallic taste, and I started to run. The last thing I remember was seeing Thalia's horrible look on her face when I was waving to her with my burned arm and then passed out.
Annabeth POV: I was talking with Thalia, heading back towards Cabin 3, When she gasped all of the sudden. I was taken by surprise, and when I looked at her I saw she was pointing at something.
I looked over and saw Johnson waving, his arm with a ton of skin burned away and covered with oil. The corner of his shirt was on fire, and his hair stood up from being shocked, most likely. Then, for no reason whatsoever, his eyes rolled up into the back of his head and he collapsed.
He was in the Infirmary for the second time today, 5 more would be a camp record. He had some liquid celestial bronze drip onto his arm, and they estimate that the few drop of it had done that. It had seeped into his head, and now he would have to eat as much ambrosia and nectar as he could each day.
They could heal him, but it would take days, even a week at most. So Johnson might be sitting out the rest of our game.
"Okay, since I was the creator the game, I think that I should be the person who goes now, so Piper, truth or dare?" Leo had said as soon as we got back. He seemed perfectly optimistic about the fact that our friends arm had just got a 4th degree burn, which was so bad that it was normally only used by the gods.
"Dare is better than truth." She replied. I noticed that I had been sighing a lot because of Johnson, how could the gods be so rude as to punish our youngest friend the most?
"I dare you to take 'breathing breaks' where every other turn, you have to lift up you shirt and bra for a few seconds. If you forget, then you have to remove both pieces of clothing for the rest of the game."
"Well, I'd rather not if I can just take off a single piece of clothing, right?"
"Except that nobody was really listening when I explained the rules, and just so you know one of them is that the denied truth or dare strip can be specified by the truth or dare giver. You to have to take off your bra instead of your shirt if you deny the dare."
"Leo, you little shit!" I said, turning around to take of my bra but keeping my shirt still on.
"Well, that's me, Piper. Leo Valadez!" He said with a smile. "Now who do you pick?"
"I pick Frank. Frank, truth or dare?" I asked. Another thing that I noticed is that being without a bra feels weird, but strangely familiar.
"Dare." He said simply.
"I dare you to have sex with Hazel in her cabin." Frank gave her a horrified look. "What? It's the worlds biggest sign of love, and I'm a child of love? Hello? Somebody's gonna have to do it sometime, and if it isn't you, then it's another couple here."
