Running To The Limit - Sonic The Hedgehog x Reader

Prologue

The room was pitch dark expect for the dim light that some of the monitors were producing on that faithful day. Some of the monitors were flickering from channel to channel, showing different places and people on them; as if they were trying to find a specific person among the multitude of faces this kept coming up with. Finally one of the monitors stopped on a pair of girls who were waiting on the bus stop, focusing in one of them specifically.

"I think we found the girl you were looking for Dr." The voice of a robot could be heard, only being able to see the silhouette of said robot. It had a round shape and bright red color; the cubic shape of his companion, a yellow robot, was running around setting the coordinates on some of the bots that were gonna be sent on the mission.

"Let me take a look at her." It was the voice of Dr. Eggman, he was sitting on a chair in the middle of the room, looking at the monitors that Orbot was controlling at the moment. A picture of you was then popped up, showing all they information they needed to know to easily get to you. "Yes, she is the one we've been looking for. She fits the description of the prophecy perfectly and it seems she doesn't know about it yet." This has been Eggman's latest plan and you were the missing piece on his puzzle to finally take over his universe, but he wasn't gonna settle just for that; he was ready to also take over your world as well.

"The bots are all set with the coordinates, sir." Cubot stood before Eggman, saluting as if he was the commander in charge of the operation. "They are awaiting further instruction. Unless you don't want to give them any other instructions-"

"Shut up!" Eggman shouted at his robot as Cubot flinched in fear. "Just open the portal and send them on their way, we don't have much more time to waste!" Eggman press the button to send this exact instructions to the bots, while Orbot simply pulled the lever that opened the portal to your dimension; it opened behind the area you were standing at the bus stop.

Eggman began laughing as he saw his robots cross the portal when suddenly a really loud explosion was heard just outside the room were the portal was being opened from. A blue blur coming into the room and making a mess of all the pieces of paper that lied in the room at that moment; it was Sonic, once again getting just in the nick of time to save the day.

"Stop right there egghead!" Sonic said ass he stood in front of the door, pointing his finger at Dr. Eggman. "I'm not sure what you are planning but it can't be any good if your security was as good as it was today!" He had a smirk on his face, knowing he had the Dr. on the ropes already. "What is it even? A new Robot or something else?"

His train of thoughts what cut short as he saw how a big portal was there, some robots passing through it. He knew that meant no good and prepared to sprint over to the controls to smash them and close the portal before any other robot could go through; but for his surprise he was held back by a pair of robotic arms, carrying him and making him move his feet around like crazy trying to get away from the machine.

"Not too fast you blue pest!" Eggman said, a big smile on his face as he stood up from his seat. "You are too late for once and my plan we go out accordingly!" he said as he shut down the portal himself, seeing how the last one of his robots went through.

"What are you even doing?!" Sonic kept struggling, trying to get information out from the Dr. but he didn't even flinch at the way Sonic was shouting. "Come on egghead! you are never this quiet about what you are trying to do!" Sonic snarkily commented finally getting a reaction that he wanted from Eggman.

"I shouldn't deal with you right now" he said as he opened a small compartment inside of the room with the push of a button.  "Besides my plan is already in motion and there is no way you can stop it right now!" he said as he approached the hedgehog "So for now, bye bye."

Sonic couldn't even mutter a word as he was flung towards the open compartment, getting him as far away as possible from Dr. Eggman's laboratory. He was right in that last statement, there was no way the plan could be stopped now, he finally will get what he always wanted.

"I'll finally be the ruler of this world and may others I want to conquer with the power I'm getting" Eggman said as he saw his robots capture you on the monitors. "No one will mess up my plans..."

...Or will they?
