Chapter 14

He loosens up from our embrace.

Now, he's okay. Gone his tears, but I can see his eyes sparkling because he just finished crying. 

Siguro kaunti lang iniyak niya, hindi katulad sa akin na makikita pa rin yung bahid ng luha sa pisngi.

I immediately wiped my tears when he started staring at me again.

But he only chuckled, then I felt his thumb wiping my tears away. Only Javis see this side of me, a weak one.

"I was supposedly in your position, but I think you need more comfort and attention."

"Yes, please. I badly need it."

I want to slap my mouth because of what I said, it just came out naturally.

But when I saw Javis smiling again, it made me smile too.

"These past few weeks, you are showing different moods."

I bit the inside of my lower lip for him not to notice me. Gano'n na ba kahalata yung pagkakaiba ng ugali namin ni Lirilyn?

"Yeah... I noticed it too. Uhm, is it bad?" I asked. 

I closed my eyes as I wish he will say no... I still want to be true to myself when I am with him even if I am Lirilyn in his eyes.

Please say that it's not bad.

"No. I like everything about you."

Napadilat ako at napatitig sa kanya. Ito na naman, para kay Lirilyn na naman lahat. Nakakaawa na ata ako.

I slowly nodded.

"Why?" he carefully asked when he noticed my silence.

Bahagya ko pang pinalobo yung pisngi ko. Finding my answer. 

"Ahm, nothing."

Alangang sabihin ko na dapat para sa akin yung mga sasabihin niya diba? He will be confused again. 

Nilagay niya pareho yung palad niya sa pisngi ko para sakupin 'yon kaya medyo napanguso yung labi ko habang nakatitig sa kanya.

There he stares again. He gazed like he is drowning because of my eyes. 

"I love your eyes, I can't tell what you want to say... it hides too many emotions that I can't name yet I want to know it more."

Parehong nag salubong yung makapal kong kilay na nakaayos pero hindi ko na masyadong na highlight... I just let it natural.

Lirilyn's makeup is just soft... so I just made my face natural. I don't wear any make-up, only a tint, and a little powder.

"What do you mean?"

Tinanggal niya ang pagkakahawak sa malambot kong mukha.

Umayos siya ng upo sa tabi ko at tahimik kong pinagmasdan ang paglayo niya ng kaunti para bigyan ng sapat na distansya ang pagitan namin.

What a gentleman.

Tell me not to fall for this man beside me. Oh, I fell for him already, and I still keep on falling. 

He crossed his arms in front of him like he's a model on the sofa. He's leaning there as he owns it, well, he really owned his sofa... and me.

"Nothing. I just love looking at your eyes now, it always catching me. It always asks me to look at it deeper. I want to know more about it..." Then he cocked his head towards me.

It's my eyes! Maybe I looked like Lirilyn literally, but I am the one who gave those emotions he's seeing. 

I lift up my long legs on the sofa and embrace it with my arms.
