Days passed by quickly. I didn't even notice that the plan I've been working on Javis will start today.

I sent him a message to give me his other days to be with me this summer. It took me a lot of courage to send him that one message. Yes, I'm confident but he knows me as Lirilyn and not Shantal... if it's just me, I'll probably talk to him all day long personally, and flirt with him even in messages.

I miss him too, it's been weeks since the last time we met. Graduation day pa 'yon.

After staring at the screen of my phone and waiting for a couple of minutes he finally replied. I hardly closed my eyes before I open it.

Javis:

Sure.

It's just one word from him and my face automatically lit up and plastered with a smile.

He sent another message.

Javis:

Let's meet tomorrow to talk about it. Let's meet at the usual restaurant. 2:00 pm, is that okay with you?

Me:

I'm fine with it.

Javis:

That's good. Take care.

Even if I am eager to reply to him, I just let it. I reminded myself that I am Lirilyn in his mind. I'll just wait for tomorrow.

I got out of my room to go to the dining area to eat, but I am still on the staircase when I saw my parents seating on the couch in the living room.

What they are doing here?

"Oh, Shantal nandiyan ka na pala. Aakyatin pa lang sana kita sa kuwarto mo. Halika na't bumaba ka na rito at ang mga magulang mo ay umuwi para sayo." Nanay Linda is the one who noticed me first.

I had no choice but to force myself to come with them.

My mom rose from her seat when I came closer to them, then she kissed me on my cheeks.

Umupo ako sa harapan nila na katapat na single sofa.

It's awkward for me to interact with them. Yes, I understood that they need to work away from me for us to be stable financially, but the closeness we have because of that work is slowly fading. When they always visit me here in our house, we are always casual.

"Hello,  mom, dad... what brought you here? How's the business?" I casually asked.

"We're here to visit you, do you want to have a summer vacation? How about visit other countries?" ani dad.

"You'll come with me?' I asked with hope.

They looked at each other because of my sudden question. My mom shook her head after.

"I'm so sorry, honey. We can only give you the allowance, you can also bring Yra with you, we will pay all your bills. There is just too much work this month." They are spoiling me again, but not really what I want.

"Sure. Just put it on my bank account."

My dad looked at my mom again.

"We can cancel our--"

"No dad, it's okay. I don't want to be a burden. Just go with that work so you can spoil me with things." I know I am rude in saying that to my own parents. They always gave me false hope again, like before, but I won't say it to them.

"But we can give you one or two days... how about we'll go--"

"Mom, I said it's fine!" I half-shouted.
